YOUNG THUG in Concert
YOUNG THUG is one of popular music’s most charismatic and crowd-pleasing live performers. 2017 was huge for him. In June, the visionary multi-art form superstar released solo album Beautiful Thugger Girls, and not to be content, followed it up with a couple of huge collaborations. First featuring on Camila Cabello’s global smash and multi-platinum ARIA #1 single Havana and secondly, hooking up with fellow Atlanta MC superstar Future on new album Super Slimey.
Young Thug, aka Jeffery Lamar Williams, has been evolving and ever rising on the musical landscape since his arrival on the music scene. We went to see young thug and got the meet and greet package - it was for sure worth the extra cost to hang w thugger for a minute, get a pic, and get in early. Opening acts were good too. Polo G and MGK got the crowd hyped up. Security was super nice and helpful. Drinks were strong. People on the floor were respectful and hella fun to hang with. Wish young thug would have played a little longer, but no complaints!!

Our instructions were to be there almost 2 hours early for the meet and greet only to arrive and be told it was going to be after the concert. So after the concert we were made to wait 25-35min after everyone had left the venue to meet him. We were lectured by his security about alllll the “don’ts” not to do when he comes as far as the picture we could take. Paying $200 extra just for the meet and greet and we had to take our own picture with him as a selfie no matter if it turned out good or not you had to keep moving. YT had zero interaction and appeared to be having a horrible time. It just felt more like a radio contest winner versus paying $200 per person.

Then after a long wait we were treated to an excellent showcase of talent by MGK, but sadly then had to wait another hour until Young Thug made an appearance. Thug also blessed us with a great performance. In total the show lasted almost 4.5 hours, and made for a nice friday night.

The staff and security were present and available but not overbearing. Bathrooms were clean, there were no long lines - it was awesome. I loved every second!
