  • Excellent show! And the pre-act milky chance was great!

by KP on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

What a show!!! Only complaint is they started super late.

  • Great show but too short

by CRJ on 8/1/23Rating: 3 out of 5

Great show with good theatrics, transitions, music, song selection. But the show was way too short. They only had a single encore (double in the past) and missed out on playing a lot of really good songs that are fairly popular. Their entire set lasted about 45min or so and in the past had gone on for over an hour. Really disappointed in the lack of more songs and short set time.

  • Great venue, add pins add up

by John on 8/1/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Ticked of that I lost my two low profile chairs because of a security threat. Clearly just a profit motive. $10 a chair means they are paid for after 2 rentals. Exorbitant beer prices! 8 beers came to about $130, but I get it. But like I said the venue itself is great

  • Great Concert

by TvTom on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Yeah, it was outside. Yeah it was 103 degrees. But the music was great, the atmosphere was great, and both bands even (temporarily) stopped their shows to help fans who were injured/sick.

  • Loved!

by Jai on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Have always loved them and was able to see them upclose this time! The venue wasn’t overly crowded in the pit, though sold out, which I appreciated.

  • Amazing, Lovely, and Marvelous.

    by Aimee R. on 7/31/23Rating: 5 out of 5

This was the third concert I’ve gone to for Young the Giant, one in Austin years ago, then New Braunfels before the pandemic and now this time 7/28/2023. The venue was really spacious, I was so happy I got the signed poster and the music from Rosa Linn, Milky Chance and Young the Giant were amazing. Definitely will keep going for more of their concerts.

  • Excellent Show

by NikkiTikkiTavi on 7/31/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Young the Giant gave an outstanding performance. Their live music takes the songs to a whole new dimension. Since it was an outdoor event in the summer heat, there should have been water stations closer to the seating area. Other than the lack of accessible water refill, I found the experience to be quite enjoyable. Young the Giant was one of the best concerts I have attended.

  • Incredible

by DDickey on 7/31/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Every time we see Young the Giant they get better. The band is like a Ferrari or a Porsche: highly refined, smooth, comfortable, controlled, elevated, and able to smoke you when the time comes. American Bollywood is a masterpiece, and they’re best yet, I highly recommend the album, and even more, seeing them in concert. You won’t be disappointed

  • Band Was AMAZING Venue not so much

by Lacey on 7/31/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Milky Chance and Young The Giant were FANTASTIC! Ever sounded great! Performances were fun!!!! Loved the smaller venue, the size made it great to see no matter where u sat… but the lack of staff doing their job to keep walkways open or having people sit in the ticketed seat was absent. If there had been an emergency, we all would have been doomed. The walkways were filled with more people than were in the pit, watching the concerts from there. No one had to sit in the seats they purchased, we had different people up and down thru the whole show in front of us… when we spoke with staff they didn’t care where people sat. Then why bother with numbered assigned seating? It should have been general seating, first come first seat!

  • Awesome awesome

They always bring the energy and the stage set up was great!

  • So fun and great venue

by Amanda on 7/30/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Entry into 713 was seamless and everybody was so nice and helpful. It was a full house, but everybody working merch tables and the bars were fast, nice, and provided great service. There is never a bad spot to be in 713, and you can see the stage from anywhere. The music was great, the service was great, and it was a very fun night!

  • Excellent

by Edgar n Joanna on 7/30/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Was my wife's birthday and she loves Young The Giant. We came from San Antonio and the venue was perfect. The venue was big enough but perfect that you still can see the band perfectly l. Will definitely be going back

  • Awesome!

We enjoyed the show so much! Milky chance and young the giant were awesome as always!!

  • Home early

by Marknbellaire on 7/30/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Rockin’ show, but surprised it only lasted one hour. Milky chance started at 7 and ended 725. Young the Giant started 755 and ended 850. I was home by 915!

  • Amazing concert

by Bambi on 7/30/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Milky Chance and Young the Giant both had an amazing performance. 713 music hall was a great venue.

  • Great show overall

by Jay on 7/30/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Great show... they played too much of their newer stuff. There were several older songs which were better and more well known. Play what made you famous; what made fans fall in love with your music.

  • Great Concert, Childhood Dream Come True!

by Lexi on 7/28/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Young the Giant put on a fantastic show. They played every single song I had hoped they would! Will definitely be looking to see them again! The only downside to the concert was the food truck running out of food and the bar charging $20 for drinks, but I survived.

  • Great way to end the summer

by ThatGuyWhoDoesStuff on 7/28/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Avondale was the perfect venue. The band covered a wide range of their music including most of their fan favorites. Music was well performed and the sound stage was perfect for the venue. Overall a great show. Definitely good value for the show. Milky Chance was a good choice to pair with Young the Giant. Both bands did not disappoint.

  • Top 2 Concert of My Life

by Cole on 7/28/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Both YTG and Milky Chance put on a terrific show! HIGHLY recommend both. Particularly, I loved how YTG aimed at telling a story through their mini-sets throughout the night. It was captivating from beginning to end, and we would love to see both bands in Birmingham, AL again in the next few years!
