Front row for a Young The Giant concert is the BEST
Great venue, and Young the Giant rocked it. The opener was pretty good and then after a decently long intermission, Young the Giant made the crowd forget about how long they had been waiting and absolutely rocked Hammerstein Ball Room.
Young the Giant was pretty good. The lead singers voice ran out of gas at the end though, probably not his fault. He got the crowd involved some. I sat in the lower balcony, and honestly Hammerstein should just blow up the section. It used to have old school movie theater chairs that leaned back a little bit. They took those out and for each chair, is now two dining room chairs per height. If you are the 2nd chair, you will not have an enjoyable view of the band.
Great performance. But too many new songs played. On a sold out gig, everyone is already a 'fan' so you're expecting more current/old songs than 'to be release' song..
If you are not a young the giant fan you would have still had a great time and enjoyed all the music. I brought friends who didn't really know the music and they had a blast. YTG are truly talented and I was not disappointed a single bit.
The best concert ever! You should be jealous you weren't there.
They sound the same in person as they do in their albums! Went for my birthday and had a blast!
It was a great show. they are awesome live. great energy. great sound. and the light show was a bonus to the fantastic sound
They seemed to lack any energy or connection with the crowd. Sound was kind of crap as well. Had seen them about a month ago at Webster Hall and was really excited for this show. The Webster Hall show was excellent. The Hammerstein event was barely blah. Not sure what happened. Very disappointed.
one of the best shows i've been to. Couldn't get to the front of GA but they were so good at engaging the audience. THey're songs are awesome and they played an epic set.
They were awesome live! I took a friend who didn't know they to well and he really enjoyed the show as well!! Overall I would definitely see them again.
I had such a great time at their show when they came to Hammerstein Ballroom. It was phenomenal ! Wish I could go back and relive the whole thing !!
if you ever have the chance to see them do not miss it. great night out.
Really wanted to like Cayacus but found them boring. Young the Giant was fantastic, however the sound in the first balcony of Hammerstein Ballroom is horrible. I later learned that other people have complained of the same thing. Had I known I would have bought tickets on the floor. It was unfortunately a horrible experience and we left before the set was over.
Great show! Enjoyed it a lot. Small venue so every seat was good. They are definitely an up and coming band.
It was alright. The only reason why I didn't enjoy it too much was because I didn't know many of their songs. I'm 17 years old and it was mainly an older crowd. Most fans seemed to be at least 25-35 years old. I'm also very short so standing on the floor wasn't too fun considering I couldn't see the stage half the time. I wouldn't mind going again if I learned more songs and if the tickets were a bit cheaper. I kinda wish I didn't spend my money on it. Young the Giant put on a great show though and they are very talented. The venue was alright, but I enjoyed the lights and the stage setup.
This was my 2nd time seeing YTG in concert. They are even more amazing live. A show i recommend to anyone!! If you haven't seen them yet, you are def missing out.
Young The Giant rocked! The show was great and the venue was perfect!
They absolutely killed it. Even better live, if you get a chance, don't even think about it.
Their performance was amazing, much better than I expected. Definitely an unforgettable experience. It's a show that nobody would want to miss.
