Young Nudy Background
Among the rising new wave of Atlanta emcees who keep pushing Dirty South rap to the fore is Young Nudy, a spirited and mischievous emcee who fiercely spits intoxicating rhymes about life in the gritty streets of the ATL. The 25-year-old artist — who hasn't revealed his government name — was kicked out of high school at age 14 and began immersing himself in East Atlanta's hardcore hip-hop lifestyle.
Though he was reluctant to assume a rapping role himself, old heads of the scene noticed Young Nudy's linguistic potential, and by 19 he was pushed to hop on the rap route. Then his cousin, 21 Savage, convinced the budding wordsmith to feature in 2015's "Air It Out" clip, a wicked aggro-trap number whose video displays a mob of thugs with guns blazing.
Because of Young Nudy's previous run-ins with the law, "music sh*t kept clashing, and it backfired," he told The Fader, thus getting him incarcerated several times. He didn't want to spend more time inside a cell, so once he got out, he started hanging in the studio.
There, he met Pi'erre Bourne, a then relatively unknown trap beatmaker behind some of Playboi Carti and 6ix9ine's hits. The South Carolina producer dug Nudy's tempered and unhurried flow and snuck him into the recording studio off the clock to begin working on the 2016 debut of his ‘Slimeball' series. They've followed up with a mixtape every year since. 2017's confessional ‘Nudy Land' LP saw the emcee exploring the tropes of Atlanta trap. For his latest, 2018 ‘SB3,' Nudy enlisted other producers in the mix.

"I come from the streets where this sh*t ain't sweet," slyly flows Young Nudy against a menacing trap beat off of "Sweep," the intro track to his ‘Slimeball' debut mixtape. With an unhurried, unapologetic demeanor, that's how the Atlanta rapper introduced himself as he arrived to the stage of Rolling Loud SoCal in 2017.
In 2018, the young emcee appeared at Trees in Dallas, and two days later made a stop at the Warehouse Live Studio in Houston. He performed hits off his ‘Slimeball' mixtape series and other features.

Set was short. Nudy had to be out there 20-25 minutes or less. Performed some hype songs, only the hook from each song. Energy was there, but $100 for a 20 min performance is insane. I would recommend seeing him in a festival style setting. Local venue wasnt it for the length. Also had 2 unknown openers.
I had a great experience at this young nudy concert. It was my first time seeing him and my first time being in a venue that small since all of my pier concerts were stadiums. The energy was great Nudy was interacting with crowd. The only thing I didn’t like was the mosh pits and how long it lasted but otherwise than that I enjoyed myself. If your going to a Nudy concert make sure you drink plenty of water and be prepared for a lot of pushing
Bar service was great, i was able to escape and get a water easily, $5 for a water was a lil outrageous but it’s whatever. The dj they had on stage really did well to prepare us for nudy, everybody was turnt it was a great time. The lightwork/light action on stage was something from a movie. And the music was louder than a jet, so good. Lovely people, meeting new characters was fun. The line wasn’t so hard to get through, they got everyone in quick n easy. Loved every moment of that night n would go again over n over.
It was lit but my boy performed my favs for 20 seconds. Ian trippin tho big slime.
The show started on time, at 8 and Nudy was on stage by 9. He gave a great show, they made sure the crowd was hydrated. Played all his most popular songs and a good mix of all his albums. His set was about an hour long and I definitely got my moneys worth! Super interactive with the crowd, great show
When we got to the concert it did not start on time.But didn’t care the concert was short but I still enjoyed everything so chill, so laidback very good vibe and experience.
It’s was cool just a lot of kids but they was lit but wasn’t up on zone 6 Atlanta like that

After his lineup his performance was definitely anticipated and absolutely epic. the transitions to the other artist was a bit long but made up with the hype music. fire concert
I had a horrible time. The crowd was very rowdy and creating mosh pits the whole entire time.
Could improve on artist merchandise, cheap designs. Overall good performance but VERY VERY VERY short set. Nudy didn’t songs out maybe just the chorus.
Good energy from everyone House of blues was professional as well. Second time coming both lit
It was cool and I was bangin, openers went on for like an hour and Nudy was on for maybe 40 min so not too long, but I was rollin so it was fun af with the boys
Young Nudy concert was absolutely incredible! VIP Experience was worth it to meet Nudy, the concert was fire, the acts were some heat too. The venue m’s VIP seating was comfortable with a server as well, all in all it was 10/10 experience would see Nudy again!
I bought tickets for my boyfriend and he really enjoyed himself .
He didn't even perform one FULL song! Show started at 8 and was over by 9:30, kinda a waste of money if we're being honest.
The security guards are super understanding and super responsive to needing any help. But I'm do you hate that I did need to be carried out of the mosh pit because they did not control moshing behavior.
Love his performance. Just hate it was so short. He gives his all!
For the amount of time spent waiting and traveling to the venue, the length of the concert could have been better. Also was looking forward to more songs from Gumbo being played, and when they were, it was snippets and not even half of the song. Somewhat disappointed.
