About

Yellowcard became one of the most successful alternative bands of the 2000s with its unique use of violin in their pop punk sound. The band released an acoustic reinterpretation of their seminal 2003 album Ocean Avenue in August 2013, completing a worldwide concert stretch with shows in Australia, Europe and the U.K. and is set to tour the U.S. in 2014. After putting out two albums in Florida, core members Ryan Key, Sean Mackin and Longineu W. Parsons relocated to Los Angeles in 2000 and released their third album One for the Kids in 2011, following it up with The Underdog EP in 2002. The band signed with Capitol Records that year and began recording their major-label debut, resulting in the release of their fourth album Ocean Avenue in July 2003, which peaked at No. 23 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and sold over two million copies with its hit single “Ocean Avenue.” Next up was 2006’s Lights and Sounds, as well as 2007’s Paper Walls, which debuted at No. 13 on the U.S. Billboard 200. They played for ticket holders in support of Blue October and Linkin Park that year, before announcing a hiatus that would span 2008 to 2010. They returned with When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes in March 2011 and played shows in Europe and the U.S. In 2012, Yellowcard joined the Vans Warped Tour and released their critically acclaimed eighth album Southern Air in August, debuting at No. 10 on the Billboard 200.

    Awesome

    by Monica on 8/14/23

It’s been quite awhile since Yellowcard toured, so I was very excited to see them play. They did not disappoint! So energetic and played all the songs I knew. Definitely took me back to the days of long drives home from college years back, jamming to my ocean avenue cd in the car. Love you guys!

My husband is a big fan of Yellowcard. We were so glad they are back together and came to Indy. We had never been to this venue and loved it. Great show. Great staff. All around great experience.

    Not really an anniversary tour

    by Sz on 8/13/23

The venue and staff are amazing, but the show was a bit disappointing. A 20yr Anniversary Album tour should play that album start to finish. Way too many new songs.

    Well worth the wait

    by C. B. on 8/12/23

Just saw them in St Louis for the 20 year anniversary and I have waited since I was a teen to see them. It was worth it. They were so good! I can’t get over just how amazing everything sounded. They played the album exactly as the track list was on the album which was so cool

    Yellowcard at Levitt Pavilion

    by Darby G on 8/11/23

Parking was a nightmare at this venue. Ended up having to park miles away. Only had 5 stalls in the restroom for 6000 people in attendance. Lines for the bathroom took 30-40 minutes. Lines for concessions were equally as long. I will not go to another event at that venue. The concert itself was great. The Sound was not the greatest and hard to hear from further back on grass. Overall left feeling pretty disappointed.

    Best concert at best venue!

    by A.Ha on 8/11/23

Yellowcard was so much better than I could have ever imagined! Living and breathing all that teenage angst as an elder emo, in the beautiful Colorado evening at Levitt was one of the best nights of my life. All those Lights and Sounds, made it feel like Always Summer and I was the Only One with a View From Heaven. I Believe I had an Awakening through my Childhood Eyes, even though I was Way Away from Ocean Avenue!

    Too many openers

    by Sarah on 8/11/23

Three openers on a weeknight is way too many. We barely got to stay for Yellowcard because it was getting late and we had to work the next day.

    Great Band/poor sound

    by CO Guy on 8/11/23

Always great to see one of my favorite bands. The music seemed louder for the first few bands and then was really hard to hear for Yellowcard. Don’t know who was running the soundboard but those further from the stage didn’t have as great experience as it could of been.

    Great concert

    by Anthony on 8/11/23

It was an awesome concert but the venue was not great. Fiddlers would have been good or even mission ballroom.

    Away from here I'll be

    by wayaway on 8/11/23

It's Yellowcard; can it be bad? Absolutely not. BUT the venue also makes such a big difference. I will NEVER see another concert at WAMU theater again. The last tour YC did was at Showbox Market, and so in a league of its own, other shows can't measure up. The set was "okay,"but a true YC fan would be disappointed.

    Best Concert I've been tk

    by Jacob C on 8/8/23

I've been to a handful of concerts in my life, each of them fantastic, but none of them compare to what I experienced from Yellowcard. The energy they bring is incredibly infectious and fun! I highly reccommend seeing them if you get the opportunity.

    Yellowcard Still Brings It

    by Alexis on 8/8/23

Fantastic energy, amazing crowd work, and the music? Just as good as the last time I saw them 7ish years ago. Incredible show by an incredible band. I couldn't have been happier. Opener This Wild Life, a new band for me, absolutely killed it and was so much fun. Seriously, that lead singer has some great showmanship and their music was freaking great! Anberlin, who I was stoked to see added last minute since I'm a long time fan, disappointed. You could tell the band had INSANE energy on stage and I wanted to get into it but the sound guy had ZERO balance and we heard no vocals from them. All in all, will definitely catch their next show.
