About

Yellowcard became one of the most successful alternative bands of the 2000s with its unique use of violin in their pop punk sound. The band released an acoustic reinterpretation of their seminal 2003 album Ocean Avenue in August 2013, completing a worldwide concert stretch with shows in Australia, Europe and the U.K. and is set to tour the U.S. in 2014. After putting out two albums in Florida, core members Ryan Key, Sean Mackin and Longineu W. Parsons relocated to Los Angeles in 2000 and released their third album One for the Kids in 2011, following it up with The Underdog EP in 2002. The band signed with Capitol Records that year and began recording their major-label debut, resulting in the release of their fourth album Ocean Avenue in July 2003, which peaked at No. 23 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and sold over two million copies with its hit single “Ocean Avenue.” Next up was 2006’s Lights and Sounds, as well as 2007’s Paper Walls, which debuted at No. 13 on the U.S. Billboard 200. They played for ticket holders in support of Blue October and Linkin Park that year, before announcing a hiatus that would span 2008 to 2010. They returned with When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes in March 2011 and played shows in Europe and the U.S. In 2012, Yellowcard joined the Vans Warped Tour and released their critically acclaimed eighth album Southern Air in August, debuting at No. 10 on the Billboard 200.

    Dream come true!!!!

    by Kimball on 8/8/23

We got the VIP experience and it was an absolute dream come true to meet my childhood hero’s and see them in concert but also to have a private soundcheck concert! Meeting them was so amazing and the concert itself was insane!

Inside arena - difficult to hear over the noise

    by Ocean Avenue on 8/8/23

Brought my 13 year old son to his first concert. The band was great, but the venue was bad. Standing room only, hot and the mix was poor. Couldnt hear the words, too much bass. People were passing out and throwing up around us. Odd scene. Left early. Too bad cause I love yellow card.

    Amazing concert!

    by AC on 8/7/23

I got to attend the Yellowcard concert at the WaMu theater, this was the first time I've gone to a Yellowcard show (finally) and my first event at WaMu. The concert was downright AMAZING! Huge props to the band for stopping the show when a fan got hurt, and making sure the fan was attended to before proceeding with the show! I hope Yellowcard returns to the Seattle area soon! I definitely plan on seeing them again!

    Jawdropping

    by ILLIAS on 8/7/23

Man, I honestly never thought I was going to get to see Yellowcard live after they broke up. I was so so happy they decided to tour again for Ocean Avenue. I drove 17 hours to see them and it was absolutely worth it. They sound better live than studio. I was lucky to be there for the Seattle Show and the energy in the crowd made it even more special. Plus I got to see Believe live which was literally a bucket list moment.

    Dream show

    by Adrie F on 8/7/23

Yellowcard is still killing it 20 years later. I was so happy to check them off my bucket list dream shows, I thought I’d never have the chance. They sounded absolutely amazing and I am so stoked that they’ll be continuing to make more music again. There was an injury in the pit that they saw and stopped a song to get them help, but the venue security and medical team really took their time. Hopefully WaMu takes this note seriously next time. Thanks for holding them accountable!

Exactly What I was Hoping For

    by Banana on 8/7/23

It was a dream to see Yellowcard again! It was an easy process getting in and getting drinks/food. I had GA tickets, and was able to get so close to the stage!! The only thing I didn't love was the merch line. It was constantly SO LONG I didn't get a chance to even try to stand in.

    Amazing Night

    by Star on 8/7/23

It’s been about 15 years since I last saw this band with my kids at warped tour. We all went again, and this performance was amazing! Mayday Parade was also a big bonus to see again! Can’t wait for them to come back💕

    Thrilled--fantastic show!

    by CJ on 8/7/23

The lineup was phenomenal; all of the artists clearly had a blast on stage. Between sets, it was incredible to hear almost 7,000 other people sing along to the songs I grew up with in the 90s and 2000s (Killers, Britney Spears, Panic!, etc.). Yellowcard's Q&A after soundtrack was great too; the band members joked around and made me and the other the VIP guests feel welcomed and appreciated. Would love to see another show with them and Anberlin again!

    Amazing

    by benjina94 on 8/7/23

Yellowcard is always amazing. The WaMu theater is a fantastic venue but needs to work on security and the response time of their medics. I absolutely adore the fact the lead singer for yellowcard stopped the concert to rescue a fan. 10/10 will be seeing them again

    Best they’ve ever been!

    by Dallas on 8/7/23

I’ve been going to Yellowcard shows for over a decade. This reunited version is the best they’ve sounded and the best their stage presence has ever been. You won’t regret going to a show!

    Best night ever!

This concert was incredible! I was mostly there for Mayday Parade but all of the bands were great! Love the wide open space and high ceiling in this venue.

    Great show

    by Tort on 8/7/23

Aside from one of the openers being hard to hear actual singing of, the show overall was great. Yellowcard really seemed humbled to have a good turn out after all the years Venue I have no gripes with, just standard inflated concessions etc, but nothing bad

The energy of the guys as they moved into this new “reunion” chapter showed through every second of the show!

    Fun time at Petco

    by Ashley on 8/6/23

I like the set-up of Gallagher Square. Not a bad “seat” in the venue. Seeing Yellowcard for the first time in 20 years was surreal and getting to do so at my favorite ballpark was an added benefit.

    Elder Elmo’s Unite!

    by Lilbumbleyliz on 8/6/23

Yellowcard has not slowed down! They were incredible and just as amazing as I remember them at the very last show they did years ago and all the shows before! The only drawback was the venue stupidly had rows of assigned chairs in the General Admission area. Like, WHAT?! This is YELLOWCARD! We don’t sit down!

    Fun with my Daughter

    by Jo Jo on 8/5/23

The bands were all awesome! The VIP sound check package with Yellowcard was definitely worth the money. We loved seeing Anberlin and Mayday Parade! The DJ, when playing Emo as advertised was great but he kept trying to play rap music to an Emo crowd. The venue was good with great acoustics. It would’ve been better had there been more food vendors and the one food vendor had trouble having food ready for sale during the first 45 minutes. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, my daughter and I had a wonderful night. Thank you Yellowcard for creating a show that was well worth seeing!

Yellowcard was GREAT! They started off with all songs I love and I sang my heart out! It's amazing to hear the songs that got you through H.S. in front of you. Thank you Yellowcard.
