Based in New York, the post-punk/garage rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs consists of Karen O (vocals), Brian Chase (drums) and Nicolas Zinner (guitar). The trio released their self-titled debut EP in 2001—featuring angry yet sexy vocals and equally fierce guitar work and drumming. As fans awaited the band's first full-length album, Yeah Yeah Yeahs released a second super-charged EP, Machine, in 2002. After much anticipation, Fever to Tell, the band's debut full-length, appeared in 2003 and featured a range of songs, from ballads to high-energy punk tracks. The song "Maps" became a hit for the group, receiving frequent radio play and airing as a video on MTV. Film director and music video guru Spike Jonze lent his skills to the group, directing a video for the track "Y-Control." Yeah Yeah Yeahs have also kept a busy touring schedule, supporting bands such as the Strokes and the White Stripes, making appearances at festivals such as South by Southwest, and headlining their own tours in the U.S. and the U.K.

Karen, Nick, and Brian bring it all! I’ve been a YYY fan for 16+ years, they’ve been my “Go-to” band for much of this time. It’s a living dream to see them live. Sonically perfect, and performatively awesome! I’ve said for many years that I want to be reincarnated as Karen O!
What an amazing show - Karen O. is an inspiration and the band sounded amazing and being at The Greek is always a treat. I have been following the YYY's for 15 years and they are always amazing performers at the top of their game.
I love seeing shows at the The Greek in Berkeley! The Yeah Yeah Yeahs were amazing! They’ve been on my “must see live” list for a very long time and didn’t disappoint!
Got there early, Perfume Genius opened and they were really great live. Then the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s eventually came on and I am sooo glad I got to see them live. Karen is amazing, love her sm. Hearing Maps, Soft Shock, and Y control live had me levitating. We had tickets with assigned rows but just chose to sit in the grass, the venue is small, so even all the way up there it is still an intimate concert. The views from the grass area of the bay are beautiful. Would not only highly recommend seeing the Yeah Yeah Yeahs for a great show, but also would recommend the Greek Theatre as a venue because it was really nice. Love u yeah yeah yeahs thank you for an unforgettable show 🫶🏼

If you’ve never seen Karen O in all of her glory I honestly feel sorry for you. She is the definition of a rockstar and her performance is mesmerizing. This is the third time I’ve seen her and she just keeps getting better.
Great evening at The Greek Theater Saturday night with The Yeah Yeah Yeah’s!!! So much fun and a great crowd! Never seen The Yeah Yeah Yeah’s in concert before. Seeing them for the first time here at this point in their band’s career was incredible! So happy I didn’t miss out!
Amazing performances from the whole band. Karen O really shines as one of the best ever singer/showman/“front person” in rock. With her diverse singing styles you’d expect some things to maybe not deliver live. Wrong, her voice shines and is soulful/powerful or gentle and whispering , all the things! The band roars and purrs on cue! Do it!
Everything you know about the Yeah Yeah Yeahs is true — and just the tip of the iceberg. This trio (a quartet on tour) is UTTERLY impeccable, and prove to its audience just how worthy they are of our adoration. It's incredible how much they were able to fit into a 90 minute set, and it filled my heart so, so much. What a night to remember!

First, the Berkeley Greek is one of the best places to see a show. The environment is really perfect - the sound is great, and the food/bev is reasonably priced (compared with anything across the bay). Perfume Genius was surprisingly strong. I had heard the live show was really good, and quite a departure from the sparse and minimalist sounds on the records. Even with higher expectations, he exceeded them. Yeah Yeah Yeahs were on fire. The stage was beautiful and flexible, the energy was at 11. I love not having a Jumbotron. The mix of the new songs and the classics - including a couple of deep cuts - was perfectly expressive. The new record was a departure from their catalogue, and while I love it, it wouldn’t have made as fun of a show, without being integrated with the older tracks as well. Karen’s voice is perfect - a lot of work goes into doing a whole tour performing like that without damaging the voice. Overall - it was a great evening.
What to say. Karen O and thenrest of the YYY kick ass as much as they did 20 years ago. It was just amazing. Please come back often and soon!!!!
There are no words to truly describe how amazing this band is! And The Greek in Berkeley never disappoints!
We got there later than we hoped. Parking was a big NOPE. Sound was great from our perches on the grass incline. Because we were worried about falling down the hill we didn't move. We couldn't get up and dance to the great show that the Yeahs put on. It was fun but I really wish I had been able to experience it from the level I thought I got a ticket for.
Drove from LA to Berkeley for the show and I have no regrets. The show was amazing.

I’ve seen YYY’s three other times. It’s always energetic and entertaining. This time, we brought our 8 and 3 year olds with us. Marymoor is such a great venue for families. We had an absolute blast and my kids partied all night. 10/10 would do again

I've seen the Yeah,Yeah,Yeahs play several times over the last 20 years of their career, and this was the best show hands down! Excellent energy, sounded great and the crowd loved it!❤️
I just feel like we should t be selling all these GA tickets if there isn’t going to be room for everyone to view the band from the front side of the hill at the back of the venue. Traffic was absolutely HORRIBLE and we got to sit on the back side of a hill and not even see the show we paid big bucks to see. Either lower the prices or lower the admission numbers so people don’t get screwed.
