About

With the release of her 1992 self-titled solo debut, Wynonna emerged as a singular force in American music. Beyond the five Grammy Awards, the multi-platinum albums and sold-out tours, the country/soul vocalist built on the Appalachian traditionalism that defined The Judds to create a world where Top 5 dance/club hits were as possible as being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Having practically grown up as America's favorite musical daughter, Wynonna matured into a woman who embraced how life is filled with peaks and valleys, great thrills, and heavy disappointment. Those realities informed her 5-times platinum Wynonna and nearing 3-times platinum Tell Me Why, the albums that gave voice to every human being emerging into their own adulthood with joy in their heart.

Beyond the groundbreaking music she and her mother created as The Judds, Wynonna has grown into her once-in-a-generation vocal prowess with an ease that made people clamor to her. "No One Else On Earth," "Tell Me Why," "She Is His Only Need," "Girls With Guitars," and "I Saw The Light" set the next chapter in motion of for the girl from Ashland, Kentucky who became a global superstar.

  • Fantastic Event!

    by jeannes58 on 3/15/16Gracie Theatre - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

Oh.My.Gosh. This was the most amazing show! The Gracie Theatre is a small, intimate theater, and that made it even more special! Wynonna did not disappoint for one moment. Talent just oozes out of her. The Big Noise is spectacular, and it is refreshing to see an artist let her band shine. Cactus is unbelievable! I am so glad I went to this show! She sang new and old songs for two straight hours!

  • Wynonna Judd was amazing!

We just love coming to the Stiefel for smaller, intimate concerts. Love the atmosphere and the people are always respectful. We've seen Vince Gill and Wynonna, both concerts were great....we'll be back!

  • Wynonna is Amazing

by Oilmogul on 2/23/15Stiefel Theatre - SalinaRating: 5 out of 5

At age 50, she still has the biggest voice you can hear on a live stage. It's amazing that at the start her career she had stage fright because now she knocks it out of the park with each performance. The catalog of songs from her career is remarkable

  • Wynonna is Wynonna

    by Verno1 on 2/23/15Stiefel Theatre - SalinaRating: 4 out of 5

Wynonna was great. Entertaining and unique - she can still send chills up your neck with her incredible voice.

  • Wynonna was great once she got on stage

by Mfgworker on 2/23/15Stiefel Theatre - SalinaRating: 4 out of 5

I like Wynonna and I was excited to see her in Salina. It's unusual for me to go to a concert on a weeknight because I get up for work at 5:10 am. This concert started at 8 so I knew it would be at least 11 or so before I got home and in bed. The concert started at 8 with an opening act which was ok. That lasted until 830. The intermission lasted until 9. Why? The crew had the whole day to get set up. That started the night off on the wrong foot. When Wynonna got to the stage, people were getting restless. Wynonna put on a great show. It would have been a fantastic show if there was no opening act and if Wynonna started at 8!

  • Wynonna is amazing

She is so amazing to watch. She doesn't act like any artist I've seen so personable and fun.

  • Amazing!

by FlinthillsFan on 2/22/15Stiefel Theatre - SalinaRating: 5 out of 5

My friend and I saw Wynonna 2 1/2 years ago just a few days before their motorcycle accident. We never thought we would see Catcus play the drums again. They both are still awesome! Thank you Wynonna for enduring your early entrance into adulthood and sharing your story and songs with your fans. I love how you know great things are coming when she curls her lip and belts out those tunes! You still got it, baby!! Great show!!

We always enjoy coming to the Steifel. Wynonna was terrific the intermission was to long and should have been announced so we would know that's what it was.way too loud during opening act.

  • Wynonna is fabulous!!

    by BossMom2011 on 2/22/15Stiefel Theatre - SalinaRating: 5 out of 5

Wynonna is personable, talented, and a fantastic performer. The musicians with her are fantastic, too. I loved the intimate setting created by the venue and the on stage set. I would definitely enjoy seeing her in concert, again.

Concert was amazing, I love how there is not a bad seat in the steifel.

  • Music was ?

    by 51Country on 2/22/15Stiefel Theatre - SalinaRating: 3 out of 5

Wynonna's singing and show was good but don't know if I consider the music country. I guess all "country" music is leaning more toward rock than true country. I also thought it was extremely loud but the same goes for any show I've been to at the Stiefel Theater. I would enjoy it more if my hearing aids weren't vibrating, think it finally blew one out this time! Just my humble opinion but I really don't think the building has to vibrate so one can enjoy the music!

  • Wynonna was one of a kind

by Mamaandme on 2/22/15Stiefel Theatre - SalinaRating: 5 out of 5

Wynonna was so real. She touched with heartfelt moments of tears, tons of laughter, and a singing voice I will never forget.

  • Wynonna was wonderful!

by Funkenbush on 2/4/15Star Plaza Theatre - MerrillvilleRating: 5 out of 5

It is amazing how 4 people can make such great music. Their enthusiasm got the audience even more involved. The banter between Wynonna and audience members really made the event more intimate

  • Amazing Acoustic Wynonna Show

by Junkyard on 2/4/15Star Plaza Theatre - MerrillvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Holy cow. This was Wynonna's best idea EVER. This acoustic story telling show was AMAZING and the sound in the Star Plaza theater was perfection. Not only is her voice still killer perfect with the great blend of blues and country, her sassy attitude when telling stories kept it entertaining all night long (even admist one of Chicagoland's top 10 storms ever). Don't miss this show if it comes your way! Even the local opening act from Chicago, Josie Dunne was a hit. The crowd loved her 4 song intro. A true 18 year old talent. I hope to see and hear of her again.

  • Wynona was awesome

by CountryKim on 2/4/15Star Plaza Theatre - MerrillvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Wynona's songs and Stories Concert was awesome. She was warm, funny and entertaining. I loved the smaller venue and sense of friendship among the concert goers and the performers. Great music and a great lady!

  • Awsome!

    by googoo69 on 2/3/15Star Plaza Theatre - MerrillvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Wynonna rocked the house! Her voice was strong and amazing like always. This was the best show I have seen of hers. Cant wait for her to come back and come out with some new stuff too. Just wish she would have sang some Elvis....I think she is the female version of his voice. Just love ya keep on doing what you do and bless us all with your great voice.

I think the Star Plaza security did a poor job. There was a woman over served with alcohol that was screaming at Wynonna and disrupting the entire show. At one point Wynonna had to stop the show and say, "whenever you're finished" before she would continue.

  • Wynonna is still one of the best entertainers!

    by MandM20 on 2/3/15Star Plaza Theatre - MerrillvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Wynonna & the The Big Noise were outstanding entertainment. Wy can still hit the notes and has that style that has made her famous. It was charming to see how she can speak and relate to the audience and tell her life story thru her music. The only disappointment is that there are too many hit songs to be able to hear them all in one night but that would be a challenge that I would hope for future concerts even if they were a shorter version of each hit.

  • Wynonna is Incredible

by Terrimae on 2/3/15Star Plaza Theatre - MerrillvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen Wynonna multiple times over a 25 year span and she never ceases to amaze me with the pure talent she has. Her sassiness and playfulness is always fun to watch. Whether it's a big production or a small intimate setting like this you will always walk away having witnessed a fantastic show.

  • Wynonna was totally awesome!!!

by cradle on 2/3/15Star Plaza Theatre - MerrillvilleRating: 5 out of 5

When Wynonna walked out onto the stage, we (daughter, sister and I) were just captivated by her sassafras hair!!! We were taken a back when she started to sing. Remembering when she used to sing with her mother Naomi Judd. We would play their music almost every day and soon knew every word to the songs. Would go see Wynonna Judd again!!!
