  • Great show! Highly recommend

by M on 12/21/22William Saroyan Theatre Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center - FresnoRating: 4 out of 5

This ballet is one of the best I’ve seen in Fresno! Great costumes and dancing! My family and I loved it. Also nice that there were no COVID restrictions . Missed the paper programs and wished there were more things to purchase for souvenirs. Also, would be nice to have another concession stand at the facility…there’s no point even trying to get food bc the line is so long

  • Stunning Experience

by Disappointed on 12/21/22William Saroyan Theatre Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center - FresnoRating: 5 out of 5

This rendition of The Nutcracker was absolutely stunning! I have seen many ballet companies during this holiday season, but The World Ballet was a visual wonder. I thoroughly enjoyed this performance and hope to see them again.

  • Lots of room for improvement on seating

by RealJohn on 12/16/22Shreveport Municipal Memorial Auditorium - ShreveportRating: 2 out of 5

We payed over 200 Dollars for Platinum packages to have great seats since this was the first Ballet we have ever attended. We arrived and the seats seemed to be great and the room was buzzing with excited but as soon as the Ballet started the mood VERY quickly changed from excited and cheerful to pretentious and angry! EVERYONE with floor seats were extremely mad at how little everyone could see. We could only see from the shoulders up of the dancers in the front and nothing else. EVERYONE on the floor was talking about though out the show. When we looked back, more than half the people had left. After intermission we had to move to the very back of the auditorium high in the balcony. A lower stage, raised seating or anything would be better than the set up that was used at the World Ballet. It was terrible and those seats shouldn’t even be an option. Even the staff working there said they were horrible seats after everyone started complaining. From what we could see in the second half from the back riser section was great though. The Dancers looked amazing.

  • loved the dancing, loathed the audience

by ashleym on 12/14/22Kiva Auditorium at the Albuquerque Convention Center - AlbuquerqueRating: 3 out of 5

The dancers were amazing, costumes were fantastic, sets could have been better but what brought down rating for me wasn't the show but the venue. Too many latecomers were allowed to wander around with their phones lighting the rows to find their seats and forcing those of us who arrived for the show's start to get up, have our view of the stage blocked, and be blinded by their flashlights. This wasn't one or two families. This was numerous people and it was happening a full 10-15 minutes after the show had started! Why does Kiva Auditorium allow this?! Surely these people should have to wait in the back of the theater until intermission and then find their seats to avoid distracting others and disrepecting the performers onstage. The same thing happened after intermission, where people were wandering in to their seats several minutes after the Part 2 had begun.

  • Over priced for a performance that was meh!

by Lynn on 12/14/22Kiva Auditorium at the Albuquerque Convention Center - AlbuquerqueRating: 1 out of 5

My husband and I purchased expensive tickets for the Sunday event of the Nutcracker. The choreography was just OK, the background setting was just OK and the dancing was just OK. Also, it was freezing inside the auditorium. I didn’t take my jacket off once and neither did those around me. Why wasn’t the heater on? Would I purchase tickets again for the Nutcracker event at the Kiva auditorium in the future?? No!!!!

  • Left in the intermission

by Vivi on 12/14/22Kiva Auditorium at the Albuquerque Convention Center - AlbuquerqueRating: 1 out of 5

We had high expectations. I have seen the nutcracker many times in many places, but as soon as the curtain lifted, I knew it wasn’t going to be all that good. It looked very cheap and the dancers made many mistakes that for someone who knows nothing about ballet, I noticed. Also, there was a ballerina at the entrance at a picture stand that didn’t look happy at all. Common! The tickets weren’t cheap! At least greet people with a smile! Specially since the kids are the ones who usually take those pics. It was like going to your kids school event! Not a professional ballet show

  • Disappointing venue, great dancing.

by A dad on 12/14/22Kiva Auditorium at the Albuquerque Convention Center - AlbuquerqueRating: 2 out of 5

The venue for this event (Kiva Auditorium) was like a glorified high school or mega church auditorium. It did not have the feel of a traditional Nutcracker / ballet venue. It did not have an orchestra pit, so all the songs were played from recording through the speaker and sound systems. The performance by the dancers (mainly in the second act) was very good!

  • Wonderful Performance

by Brandy W on 12/10/22Shreveport Municipal Memorial Auditorium - ShreveportRating: 4 out of 5

This was an absolutely wonderful performance. I only give four stars due to the comfort of the venue. The seating was very uncomfortable. There was also no handicap parking in front of the building. Everything else was great!!!

  • Nutcracker

by Minnie on 12/10/22Shreveport Municipal Memorial Auditorium - ShreveportRating: 5 out of 5

The show was absolutely amazing. The costumes were so beautiful and the dancers were so graceful. They looked like they were just gliding across the stage. It was like looking in a snow globe. All I can say is, IT WAS AMAZING!!!

  • Nutcracker was beautiful

Amazing performance. Looked really professional by all in the group.

  • Not what we expected.

by DreHill on 12/8/22Macon City Auditorium - MaconRating: 3 out of 5

My daughters & I attend the local Nutcracker every year, performed and directed by Mercer University Theatre. This year we decided to switch it up and try a different location. We were not nearly as pleased. Not only was the play itself different, and bit boring, the location itself and what it offered just did not feel as warm. Our local Nutcracker is less money and offers so much more, from start to finish. Sorry. We will stick to what we know and like.

First time seeing the Nutcracker. It was awesome from the costumes to the dancers. Loved that we had the opportunity to get a keepsake photo as well, which made it even more memorable.

  • Can't Wait To Go Again

by RFletch on 11/30/22The Santander Performing Arts Center - ReadingRating: 5 out of 5

I wish the theatre itself was more updated. Such a beautiful place but needs work. The ballet itself was wonderful. It even kept the attention of my child. It was a first for my child, myself and other family I took with to see it live. The dancers were all awesome. It was a great first!! Can't wait to go again.
