It leaves a lot to be desired…

Outside of that the show was extremely short, the first act was absolutely not more than 20 minutes and that is probably being generous. The second act was longer probably around 40-45 minutes, with a 20 minute intermission. Secondly this story unfortunately does not hold accurate to the story of Cinderella we all have come to know and obviously love so there are certain storylines that don’t make sense such as who I assume is her father is still alive in this one? Also we saw many little girls who came to watch wearing the iconic Cinderella dresses excited I’m sure to see there favorite princess dancing around and I’m sure were disappointed to realize she would never dawn her well known blue dress for the ball. That leads to the costumes, outside of the disappointment of no well known princess dress, part of the ballet magic itself is seeing all the fancy overly fluffy tutus and sadly there were none. Also the prince left ABSOLUTELY nothing to the imagination in his outfit, and while I know this is the ballet so you have to come expecting to see men in tights this was…for lack of a better word excessive. The rest of the men had on capri pants over their tights however he was only wearing opaque white tights with nothing underneath to obscure any sort of outlines…in the back or the front. So just be prepared I suppose because it was slightly jarring and I promise I’m not a prude haha. Last but not least was that our seats were not great but we paid close to $200 for 3 people to see this show which I was happy to pay when purchasing the tickets because it set expectations high that this show would be spectacular, when in the end it left us feeling very disappointed.
