Entry was pleasant. Staff was great and helpful. Sightlines were good and seats were comfortable. Weather was amazing to match the competition. This was a great experience for me and my family.
I attended the evening session on Thursday and Friday meaning I got to see the Men's 200 sweep, Kara Winger's amazing comeback and Sydney McLaughlin blow the world record out of the water. It was a great time in the amazing new Hayward field. All the volunteers and workers were friendly and helpful. It was so wonderful encountering people from all over the world. I enjoyed the food booths and hit up the Travel Oregon booth each day for a little treat. It was just a positive experience for this track fan.
We are British and attended three evening sessions and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The only full session was the Sunday night for some reason. Thought being 'Tracktown' there would have been more people there. I think athletics remains a minority sport in the States, not a great deal of passion like we are used to in the UK! The actual Championships were well organised and a pleasure to attend. So well done on that front
Only issues were a lack of bathrooms on the backstretch side of the track and almost no audio from the announcer for the areas where temporary bleachers were used.
Crowd cheered for everyone, not just USA. USA team was magnificent! Coaches made great choices for our relays.
We attended the evening session on Friday Saturday and Sunday and had great seats at the south end up high. Everything was well organized on and off the track. The only suggestion I would make is that the stadium food trucks stayed open for an hour after the event ended in the evening not everyone wants dinner at 5PM (before the start of the action), bearing in mind many of the attendees from spectators to media were international visitors...
The competition was sizzling, the venue spectacular and the East side stadium seats absolutely broiling. Many fans sought shelter on the covered walkway and only peaked out for finals. The lines for water and restrooms were sometimes long. Seats in the temporary bleachers were utterly removed from the experience because the PA system was not audible and the scoreboard completely out of sight. It was impossible to even discern the winner of races. Surely this could be improved!
So much fun meeting people from all over the world. Food and drink concessions were plentiful and most importantly women's bathrooms were well placed, clean and not short on stalls.
So many great athletes and fans from all over the world coming together to cheer and support each other.
This was a "once in a lifetime" experience that I am so fortunate to attend!!
The efforts to facilitate this event over 10+ days was exceptional. The facility was fantastic. (Could have used a few more restrooms and more water stations) The idea to bring re-unable water bottles was high level and progressive thinking --- I loved it.---when I could finally get to the refill stations. I did have four or five major issues with the Ticketmaster app! Very frustrating!!!
The World Athletics Championship was outstanding! Best track meet ever, as three world records were broken.
Loved it! Had great seats and the atmosphere was amazing!
The entire experience was tremendous! The sound system needs to be a bit louder. Sometimes was difficult to hear the female voice. And often the background music was too loud for the announcements. Other than that, a great time. Maybe in our lifetime it might even return here.
Everything I hoped it would be and more! 3 world records! American records. First class faciity.
Had a great time. Hayward field was fantastic. Weather hot and wished I had seats in the shade. Seats moved each day which I didn’t like. All in all a great experience
Fantastic event. My only complaint would be the long lines for food and beverages.
Should have been held for fewer days, not enough events per session. Seats were expensive. The facility was outstanding.
This is truly one of the most fun sporting events I've ever been to. I had an incredible time I am a huge track fan so that added to the experience but I'd bring anyone who is just a fan of sports to this event. Hayward hosted an incredible event I was only there for the last day but I heard good things throughout the week excited to go to another world championships at some point.
Beautiful track and field stadium! Schedule of events went off without a problem. Eugne Oregon is definitely a friendly "Tracktown USA!"
