Almost 2 hours of very enjoyable irish dance and music unfortunatelly the audio had some problems but in general good show for the family.
I don't know if it was the sound system or the singers, but the volume and clarity was ever changing. The band was great and the guest male dancer was excellent.
I was disapointed with the "woman of ireland" apparantly they felt because they were born there that it would be ok to sing songs that had nothing to do with Ireland. I thought I was going to hear ballads etc. from ireland not classic 70 pop like songs. the back up band did play irish music and they did have a couple of irish dancers; As I said if you are going on tour calling yourself "women of Ireland" especially around St. Patricks day then sing all irish songs. I got the impression i was at a piano bar at times
The three lovely sisters...........beautifully gowned...........had average voices. The drummer was often too loud and drowned them out. Wished they had sung more Irish music. The dancers were OK, too. They seemed almost a distraction at times just coming on and off in short bits, and weaving around the singers.' The audience really never became enthusiastic until the male dance and bodrum drummer did a "competition"............and sparked interest.
Entertaining show with variety...music, dance, artistry. The single major issue was the acoustics. You really could not hear/distinguish the words of the songs. When the sisters sang the songs & the words seemed muffled & scratchy. This was a common comment from others that attended this particular show. Too bad because the sisters seemed very talented and were engaging.
We were in the front row for the show Women of Ireland and at times we could not hear the sister, when they sang. That being said the show was really enjoyable especially with all of the extras, the Irish dancers, the band, and the woman who played the violin. I also felt that the sisters did not connect with the audience as well as the other members of the show did.
It may have been the actual venue, but it was just ok for me. Was not impressed with the male tap dancer who seemed to show up half way thru the show. I do not know if that was on purpose but he did seem to appear late and as an after thought. The sound system at the Springfield symphony hall leaves a little to be desired.
The three sisters who sang had wonderful voices, they were exquisite. The dancers were good, the lead female dancer's skills were excellent but she had a stark glare and seldom smiled. When she did smile, she was lovely. To my personal taste, I'd like a full on Irish band like the Dubliners but after 50 years they retired in 2012. Next best in my opinion would be Brian Kelso Crow who hosts Celtic Connection on NPR in southern Illinois. I'd go see him in concert anytime.
It was a little slow at the beginning, then really picked up, and was good. The music was great. The skils of the backup orchestra ws very good as was the dancing. Recommend seeing if you like Irish music.
I took my 8 year old daughters to see Women of Ireland. It was a fantastic performance full of Irish music and dancing! All of the performers were very talented and entertaining. We even got to meet them in the lobby afterward. My daughters were in heaven and now dream of becoming Irish Dancers. I highly recommend this show!
Incredible talent, great seats and venue, new takes on traditional songs very fun
Great show. Worth every penny. So much talent in one show.
Love the three female artists, voices are beautiful; dancing is entertaining and lively; the tin whistle and boudain were a nice added touch.
We enjoyed the event at the beautiful Rialto! The talent was excellent and we would enjoy more of the same
Enjoyable but not even close to video shown on YouTube. How come? I expected to see more Irish dancing!
Not worth the money. Would not see again. Talented artists, but just a lame show.
