Winnipeg Jets History
The Winnipeg Jets were founded in 1997 as the Thrashers, and began play in the 1999–2000 NHL season, spending 11 seasons in Atlanta and making the playoffs once in 2006-2007. In 2011, the franchise was sold to True North Sports and Entertainment, which relocated the team to Winnipeg and adopted the name of the city's original franchise in the World Hockey Association, the Jets.
Major league hockey dates back to 1972 in Winnipeg, which was home to one of the founding franchises of the WHA and one of four (along with Quebec, Hartford and Edmonton) to join the NHL when the leagues merged in 1979. The original Jets moved to Phoenix in 1996 and became the Phoenix Coyotes (now the Arizona Coyotes). In the 12 seasons that the Jets have been in Winnipeg, they’ve made six playoff appearances, including a run to the Western Conference Finals in 2018.
In 2016, the team established the Winnipeg Jets Hall of Fame, with the "Hot Line" trio of Anders Hedberg, Bobby Hull and Ulf Nilsson as the inaugural inductees. Recent inductees include Teemu Selänne and Teppo Numminen.

Great game and atmosphere. Jets games live are events to see in person.
Great seats I love the single seat last min option. Amazing game. Amazing atmosphere. Overall outstanding!!!!! Go nucks go baby!!!! Nothing like a shoot out!!
Missed the warm up but the game was really fun to watch!
Great game even though the Peg lost. Get em next time!. Will definitely hit another game.
amazing game and atmosphere!... fans in Winnipeg are the best!
Enjoyed every minute of the game. It was well worth going to the game even though it was cold outside.
First timers to a Jets game and they did not disappoint! Would definitely go again and the seats were excellent!!
Exciting game. Even with the jets losing in the end.
Good atmosphere. Cramped rink but that is the charm. Seats are tight with your neighbors but it is worth it to see NHL in Winnipeg.
A little of a rough start to the Game by the Jets getting down 0-2 and in a typical come from behind situation as has been the story for the last ten games or so. It's always fun to cheer for the underdog though.
Awesome crowd and amazing experience. Great win for us.
Our seats were directly behind the opposition bench. We had a BLAST!!! Florida coach Kevin Dineen did not. They lost 7-0!
Great Game, great atmosphere...no question MTS center is one if not the best venues to go see an NHL game right now.
My first game and it was fantastic! Playoff atmosphere and the Jets had to beat the Panthers to stay in the race. The tension and excitement was incredible, and having the Jets win 7 - 0 was totally mind blowing. I was sitting next to a season ticket holder, and he said this was the best game of the whole season. I sured picked a great first game to see the Jets play. I do have a comment about the 987-puck Jets customer service staff. I called to ask some basic questions and he was very rude and very unhelpful. This makes the hockey club look bad. Very disappointed with the service I received.
The game and the atmosphere was a lot of fun. Seats were great with great seat side service during the game, which did not interfere with the view since the seats were at the edge of the club section.
Awesome game and 2 more points that were much needed for a run to the playoffs.
Not the Best seats, but sure was great atmosphere and just Super to see one of the greatest players in the NHL, (as well as one of the best people). Thank you for the memories Teemu!!
Can see the game well in this arena. Concourse area is too crowded to be useful between periods. Hard to get to food and drink. Skipped buying because of lines and crowding. Bathrooms are also way undersized so left the arena to find a better lavatory. Great game, great crowd, fun time, facility needs work.
NIce opportunity for people that likely cannot afford the cost of season tickets or game day tickets the chance to see the team. This is probalby the only time i'll get to see them in Winnipeg.
It was nice to see the Jets in a non stressfull environment where they could just have fun and shocase their talents.
