About

Willie Nelson is one of the most successful country music singer-songwriters in history, releasing 68 studio albums and 10 live albums. He wrote his first song at the age of seven and joined his first band at ten, playing concerts as a lead singer and guitar player while still in high school. He spent the ‘50s and ‘60s writing songs for established acts such as Ray Price and Patsy Cline, as well as releasing a string of albums on Liberty and RCA beginning with his debut …And Then I Wrote in 1962. In 1973, he signed to Atlantic Records and put out Shotgun Willie, which veered into outlaw country, a stark contrast from the mainstream Nashville sound and clean-cut country artists of the era. 1975’s Red Headed Stranger and 1978’s Stardust followed on Columbia Records, both garnering commercial and critical success. The ‘80s saw the release of No. 1 albums Honeysuckle Rose, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Always on My Mind, and The Promiseland, as well as Nelson joining Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson in the country supergroup The Highwaymen, touring and releasing three studio albums between 1985 and 1995. Nelson continues to release a new album almost every year and delight ticket buyers in live shows to this day.

The Only Thing I Can Complain About is I was in the oth row and security should make everyone sit because the venue was designed that everyone can see if they sit….im 4’9” and people were standing in the rows infront of us…

  • Willie Nelson was amazing!!

by Ami on 5/21/24BMO Pavilion - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Willie Nelson was amazing. He played for one hour and played most of his hit songs. He has too many great songs to play them all. His voice was strong and his guitar playing was fantastic. I am so grateful I was able to see him again. Willie is a legend!!

  • Too short

    by Ram 1500 on 5/21/24BMO Pavilion - MilwaukeeRating: 2 out of 5

It was a good concert, but way too short. It was an hour show with no encore. Although Willie sounded good with vocals and guitar work, I can't help but feel a little ripped off because of the short concert. Very disappointed.

  • shortest concert I ever attended

by Matthew on 5/21/24BMO Pavilion - MilwaukeeRating: 2 out of 5

I am a big Willie Nelson fan. I was delighted to see him in Milwaukee. The night was beautiful. Everything was great. Willie came on stage and played for one hour. Then it was over. I could not believe he played literally one hour. For the price of the tickets, he should’ve played longer or had other musicians. Long live Willy, but if you can’t come up with a better show, then it is definitely time to retire.

  • Seats were great

by Claw on 5/21/24BMO Pavilion - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

For 90 years old Willie did a great job I thought 1 hour was to short but understandable given his age any way it was great to see him one last time and third row center seats were awesome

  • Great concert at a great venue

by Mike on 5/21/24Pinewood Bowl Theater - LincolnRating: 4 out of 5

Really enjoyed our first experience at the Pinewood Bowl. Great place to see a show. Staff at the Pinewood was very good and friendly. Of course, Willie was fantastic. As always. Available food was good.

I felt honored to be able to witness this true legend in person. What a terrific songwriter and performer. Goosebumps.

  • Mini concert

by LA on 5/21/24BMO Pavilion - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

His voice was exceptional as well as his performance. My only complaint is that I wish I would have known the concert was only 1 hour long.

  • Wasn’t great

    by L.S. on 5/21/24BMO Pavilion - MilwaukeeRating: 1 out of 5

Wasn’t great. I love Willie but the lighting and sound just wasn’t up to par. It really wasn’t worth the $700 for tickets to be that close (row 23) and not be able to really hear his voice well or have a concert experience.

  • Amazing!!

by Coco on 5/21/24BMO Pavilion - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Willie is a living legend! He crushed it at 91! Absolutely amazing!! I enjoyed this show so much!
