WILD CHILD IN CONCERT:
Fans looking for a note-perfect recreation of the Doors' legendary '60s concerts need look no further than Wild Child. Dave Brock has been channeling the legendary charisma of late frontman Jim Morrison for nearly three decades and he's got the routine down pat, taking the stage with a talented band of players to deliver sets so uncannily faithful they satisfy even the most rigorous Doors purists. Whether they're brooding on "People or Strange" or burning bright on "Light My Fire," Brock and his band are sure to deliver another round of supremely satisfying performances on their latest tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Wild Child formed as a Doors' tribute band in mid-'80s Los Angeles, playing their first show at the Whiskey a Go-Go in 1986. Jim Morrison's untimely death in 1971 had created a void among fans hoping to see songs like "Touch Me" and "Hello, I Love You" performed live, and Wild Child filled it perfectly, selling out shows first in LA and then around the country. Since then, their painstakingly crafted tribute show has become legendary in its own right, spawning a live album and paving the way for continued touring nearly three decades since their formation.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKET SAY:
"They were amazing, he is this generation's Jim Morrison, he sounds exactly like him, incredible talent and showmanship!"
"Jim Morrison is my favorite and the Wild Child tribute band did an excellent job of portraying the highlights of the Doors. I would definitely recommend this show to anyone."
"This Doors tribute band really delivers. The lead singer totally channels Jim Morrison both in song and swagger. The rest of the band pumps it out as well"

I have seen Wild Child on two occasions at the Paramount Theater and each time, it was way too loud. The singers volume was turned up to distortion levels. Overall, I think Wild Child does a great job at recreating the sound of the Doors but they need to tone it down a bit. I don't know if this is the bands problem or a venue problem. I have seen other shows at the Paramount where volume was also so loud that it was distorted. Hope they straighten this out because it is a nice venue.
Great cover band. Very entertaining! Reminded me of my teen years listening to the doors
Saw Wild Child for the fourth time and they were truly amazing !! Great energy, great attitude, awesome concert experience, as always. They always deliver. My wife joined me for the first time and she was blown away. After a few tunes, I asked her what she thought of Dave and she said, “he’s spot on!!” By Roadhouse Blues, she looked over at me and said, “I think I just discovered Rock and Roll !!” She loved it and we will w seeing you all again !!
Although the music was good enough, the singer doesn’t bring much soul to the show. The warm up band had great energy and was impressive.
Unbelievable Re-Creation of a concert by The Doors
Never had the opportunity to see the Doors? Go see Wild Child. Great musicians. Dave Brock sounds like Jim Morrison. Greatest list. You can’t ask for anything more.
Excellent show. Very professional. Great singer and great musicians. It was nice to see a great concert at a reasonable price. I can’t wait until they return.
We had a great experience!! They are one of our favorite bands!! Wild Child is amazing!! Always a fun performance. Electric!!!
Opening band was an hour of severe pain and noise. Wild Child was top notch from all the musicians. Jim Morrison lead singer was spot on as I closed my eyes one would think it was Jim.
The show was amazing, they sound, and look, like the Doors. I was hoarse the next day from singing along lol. The venue is very clean, and the staff was great
Wow, I had never heard of this group before but you can be sure I’ll be seeing them again. If you close your eyes, you would have thought you were seeing Jim Morrison. They were amazing!
Best cover band i have ever seen. Fantastic show. Hope they play in New Jersey again soon.
It was like going back in time to 1968. I'm a big Doors fan, Wild Cherry is a must for any Doors fan and music lover that appreciated the classic music from the great bands from California in the wonderful sixties. I highly recommend Wild Cherry if you appreciate classic Doors music. They put on a great show. Ray Manzarek , Robby Krieger , John Densmore , and Jim Morrison would be proud.
Wild Child is the best Doors tribute band. Dave Brock has all of Jim Morrison's mannerisms down. His voice sounds just like Jim. Definitely worth checking out if you are a fan of the Doors! They play most of their shows in Californina, but occasionally play some shows on the East coast.
They really give you an authentic Doors Experience. The lead singer is Jim Morrison reborn. Great show
Awesome show - they played (most of) the well-known popular songs, and it was cool to hear some of the "less well-known" songs, like My Eyes Have Seen You, You're Lost Little Girl, I Can't See Your Face In My Mind, Ship Of Fools, and The Spy.
sound system and lighting was really nice! I want to go back to this venue really soon
I liked the band. The guy has great voice. Very good musical skills. Very pleasant to hear. I am not sure what was that -but vibe was missing.
Nothing better than the Doors. Will go every time they go to Paramount.
