About

WILD CHILD IN CONCERT:

Fans looking for a note-perfect recreation of the Doors' legendary '60s concerts need look no further than Wild Child. Dave Brock has been channeling the legendary charisma of late frontman Jim Morrison for nearly three decades and he's got the routine down pat, taking the stage with a talented band of players to deliver sets so uncannily faithful they satisfy even the most rigorous Doors purists. Whether they're brooding on "People or Strange" or burning bright on "Light My Fire," Brock and his band are sure to deliver another round of supremely satisfying performances on their latest tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Wild Child formed as a Doors' tribute band in mid-'80s Los Angeles, playing their first show at the Whiskey a Go-Go in 1986. Jim Morrison's untimely death in 1971 had created a void among fans hoping to see songs like "Touch Me" and "Hello, I Love You" performed live, and Wild Child filled it perfectly, selling out shows first in LA and then around the country. Since then, their painstakingly crafted tribute show has become legendary in its own right, spawning a live album and paving the way for continued touring nearly three decades since their formation.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKET SAY:

"They were amazing, he is this generation's Jim Morrison, he sounds exactly like him, incredible talent and showmanship!"

"Jim Morrison is my favorite and the Wild Child tribute band did an excellent job of portraying the highlights of the Doors. I would definitely recommend this show to anyone."

"This Doors tribute band really delivers. The lead singer totally channels Jim Morrison both in song and swagger. The rest of the band pumps it out as well"

    Fun to an Extent

by Litha on 12/13/23The Magnolia - El Cajon

Dave Brock and crew are always amazing. The venue was decent but security was a bit over the top and did not allow much dancing. Overall a good night

    Jim was there

by Olddiscoqueen on 11/28/23The Magnolia - El Cajon

We had seen Dave Brock sing with Robbie Krieger on a cruise ship. It was too bad that he couldn't make it to The Magnolia, so we were in luck when Jim Morrison showed up, albeit hammered. The entire concert was amazing! A must see!

    Amazing!!!

by Fan on 11/27/23The Magnolia - El Cajon

Wild Child is the best tribute band there is. I've seen MANY tribute bands and have seen WC 4 times. This last show was my favorite. It's like as if the real Jim Morrison is on stage in body, voice and mind. The entire band is made up of talented musicians and they are in character on stage, even calling the members by the original names of the Doors while performing. They blow me away and I can't wait to go back!!

    Great show!

by Mo on 11/27/23The Magnolia - El Cajon

The show was amazing! The band sounded great and the lead singer was very charismatic. He started with very good renditions of classic Doors songs and was great at achieving the Jim Morrison persona. The first part of the performance was good, but the second set after the intermission was stellar! He really came alive and interacted with the audience and created a really unique atmosphere. I would definitely go to see Wild Child again!

Wild Child sounded like the Doors as they should in a tribute show. They played the Doors great songs with an authentic Doors sound.

Almost forgot they weren’t real band

by Dee on 10/30/23Showroom at Casino Arizona - Scottsdale

All of the band members were amazing. The keyboardist was absolutely fantastic. The lead singer was spot on, not only his voice but look too. The guitarist and drummer were equally amazing. I hope they come back because I will see them again.

    Great show

by Gregorio on 10/30/23Showroom at Casino Arizona - Scottsdale

I had a group of 14 people who really love the doors. Everyone said the music and singing was great. Love the venue! We were just at the Rolling Stones tribute and that was great. I get the neighbors together and we love these shows. I rent a 15 passenger van and we have a great time (dancing with the live band afterwards). We will be back!

Great concert with odd power outages

by Champ on 10/2/23House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

The band did great but there was a 30 minute intermission in the middle and then after they came on there were three times where the power to the bands equipment went out for 5 to 7 minutes each time so the house lights came on and when they figured it out started again. That was pretty annoying, but the band did play an extra song because of the inconvenience

    Band was entertaining to watch.

by FritoBandito on 10/2/23House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

Someone at the House of Blues in Anaheim thought it would be funny to turn on lights and shut off the microphone during Wild Child's performance, happened about 3 times. NOT FUNNY! What was that all about?

    Great tribute to the Doors

    by Sammyoscar on 8/12/23

We visited the OC Fair and saw a consistently great band who cover the Doors music over the years, and they sound better and better each year we hear them play. It is great to see all ages in the crowd dance and sing along.

Singer drummer and keyboard 10s. New guitar player should be replaced. Mixing board at The Hanger at Orange County Fairgrounds quite sub par. I’ve been there many times

    Wild Child rocked the house

    by Cat on 7/22/23

Wild Child packed a full house, while they played each song note for note and captured the essence of Jim Morrison and the Doors. Sparse, darkened stage set with a simple 'Wild Child' tribute logo above set the mood along with minimal but 'groovy' spot lighting effects. The band did the rest, with emphasis on the essential organ. They embodied time travel back to the sixties.
