Whoopi was as insightful as ever, posing though provoking situations and giving her hilarious take on life. I loved her interactions with the audience.

About
Whoopi Goldberg on Tour
For all her achievements in theater, movies and television, Whoopi Goldberg has never lost her reverence for the connections she forges with audiences at her reliably outrageous stand-up performances.
Her appearance in November, 2019 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City marked another milestone for a performer who first came to wider attention with Whoopi Goldberg, the one-woman stage show she brought to Broadway with the help of director Mike Nichols in 1984. The acclaim for her skills drew the notice of Steven Spielberg, who cast her in the lead role of The Color Purple. Goldberg's Academy Award nomination led to her successful run in a huge variety of dramas and comedies, including such smash hits as Ghost in 1990 and Sister Act two years later.
Her forays into television include her Emmy-winning run as executive producer and resident "center square" personality on her revival of the game show Hollywood Squares. Never afraid to share her views, Goldberg continues to elicit laughs and provoke thoughts as the moderator of ABC's The View.
In March of 2019, she appeared at New York's Beacon Theatre as cohost for Love Rocks NYC, the star-studded annual benefit for the nonprofit organization God's Love We Deliver.
Whoopi Goldberg Background
Born and raised in New York, Whoopi Goldberg caught the performing bug at an early age. Her first audiences were the relatives who gave Goldberg her distinctive nickname, comparing the aspiring comedian to a whoopee cushion.
Her years studying comedy and theater in California and New York led to the development of the characters who filled her first stage hit, which was named The Spook Show before she and director Mike Nichols brought it to Broadway as Whoopi Goldberg in 1984. In 1985, she earned an Academy Award nomination for her first major screen role, in Steven Spielberg's The Color Purple. That launched a movie career that has included such beloved films as Ghost, Sister Act and The Lion King.
Among her television credits are her groundbreaking talk show The Whoopi Goldberg Show and the Emmy-nominated NBC sitcom Whoopi. Her Emmy-winning revival of Hollywood Squares ran from 1998 to 2004. In 2007, she joined Barbara Walters on ABC's The View as the show's new moderator.
One of America's most decorated performers, Goldberg is among the few to win an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony. Her other honors include two Golden Globes, a Drama Desk Award, two American Comedy Awards, the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor and a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.

Wonderful
by GilT on 1/2/10Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior LakeRating: 5 out of 5Whoopi put on a wnderful show. She continues to amaze me with her versitiily and her thought provoking dialog. I would see hear again in a heart beat. Would love to sit and have a conversation with her. I want to thank her for coming to Minnesota on New Years Eve.
Disappointed with Whoopi
by WaitingtoLaugh on 1/2/10Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior LakeRating: 2 out of 5We were hoping to see some fresh new characters from Whoopi in this performance, or even some updates from Fontaine and the Valley Girl, but it was just more of the same "View" personna - with more expletives. Whoopi, we're all disillusioned right now, but that's why we went to see you - to laugh and be entertained for a while. I get it if you don't have it in you - just don't ask me to pay good money for mediocre material.
Whoopi disappointed
by Takeit on 1/2/10Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior LakeRating: 2 out of 5I am a fan of Whoopi Goldberg's and still am. I found the show disappointing because of the amount of profanity she used in her routine. It was too much. The point and the humor would have come through more with a bit less of the foul language. I am not saying that I am a quaker and there should be no foul language, I just think it was overdone. The listener hears more of that than the story. I could relate to the stories, but again, I was disappointed. I watched the people around me and most reacted as my friends and I did. We enjoyed it, but were disappointed. Whoopi you are better than that!
A great laugh with Whoopi
by GG813 on 1/2/10Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior LakeRating: 4 out of 5Whoopi provided great laughs on a cold Minnesota night. I knew her humor would be a bit raunchy, but having expected it, it did not startle nor surprise me. She poked fun at both men and women using real life examples. I would recommend her if folks had advanced knwledge of the content.

Whoopi has not been out doing standup for a while and this event was more a political rant rather than comedy. It was like was watching the View. We agreed with her political views but were there for more comedy.
Go Whoop!
by KandJW on 1/2/10Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior LakeRating: 5 out of 5Just an Amazing woman! Loved her show and would attend any time she's in town, so hurry back.
Whoopi was fun!
by Rocky55 on 1/2/10Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior LakeRating: 5 out of 5Whoopi was extremely funny & loved her lots -- only disappointment was that I wish it had been a little longer (I know she had a late show after ours)! I have no problem with Whoopi or her show -- we enjoyed it immensely. The problem that I have is with the judgement of some show attendees that brought young children to the show -- I suppose thinking they were going to see the TV Whoopi or child book author Whoopi, which is not what they should have expected. Whoopi has been a typically adult show comedian for many years. Anyway, I think it was completely inappropriate for children to even be admitted to this type of adult comedic performance most was especially since it was presented in a casino showroom -- not being old enough to gamble, the child should not be allowed to attend a show at a casino showroom because it was presented for an adult audience that is old enough to be in a casino.
Whoopi was delightful!
by Lotterylady on 1/1/10Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior LakeRating: 4 out of 5Getting into the casino was very easy with the shuttles and great assistance finding our seats. Whoopi was delightful and funny. She mixed politics with stories and personal opinions and made it feel she was talking directly to you not a room full of people . The venue was comfortable and my husband and I had great conversations with the people seated on both sides of us.
Whoopi
by Spangjo on 1/1/10Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior LakeRating: 2 out of 5Whoopi seemed to lack enthusiasm and energy. Her performance was too short!!! Over priced for what was received for only a hour and fifteen minutes.
Fantastic Whoopi
by Anonymous on 1/1/10Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior LakeRating: 5 out of 5funny, fantastic, original material all of these adjuectives describe Whoopi's performance. It was an evening well spent.
Whoopi
by agingwisely on 1/1/10Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior LakeRating: 3 out of 5It was great fun! Too short of performance for the price. It was an hour for $80. There was this question answer section at the end that she could have done without and then she said goodbye and that was it.

by GOODDEAL on 1/1/10Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior LakeRating: 5 out of 5WHOOPI WAS GREAT, WE LAUGH THE WHOLE TIME. SHE IS SO SILLY AND VERY REAL.
Witty, Offbeat Humor, Blue
by Califlash on 1/1/10Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior LakeRating: 4 out of 5If you like and enjoy Whoopi, this is for you! She is funny, raw, straightforward and politicaly incorrect. Great show for the open minded thinking person. Not for the timid looking for casual comedy or those offend by excessive use of the "effinheimer" and other four letter words. Whoopi constantly challenges your opinions and biases...we all have them, whether we admit them or face them.
Whoopi was great!
by Sarrahj on 1/1/10Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior LakeRating: 4 out of 5Whoopi was very entertaining! I think some of the patrons were a bit taken back with her cuss words, but that's Whoopi! She is very funny and entertaining.
Still talking about Whoopi
by hanson213 on 1/1/10Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior LakeRating: 5 out of 5Extremely intelligent, up to date on current events, made you think and laugh until you cried. Loved her at Mystic Lake.
Whoopi was ok
by justwannalaugh on 1/1/10Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior LakeRating: 3 out of 5The show was good. To much politics in the beginning. I came to laugh and have fun, not think about stuff that bothers me. There was also a bunch of people in the audience that felt the need to talk, just to hear the sound of their own voice. When she stuck to everyday life stuff with womanhood and grandchildren, she was hillarious! I would love to see a full show of just that.

I Love this woman!!!
by GrandmaPoet on 1/1/10Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior LakeRating: 5 out of 5Whoopi Goldberg never disappoints. She is real, her comedy is real, and nothing is left untouched. Despite outrage from some individuals (not her parents) I took my granddaughter to the show who laughed and clapped right along with everyone else. We would go again tonight if she was performing. Thank you Whoopi for coming to Minnesota!!!
Missed Whoopi's comedy
by blndamb on 1/1/10Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior LakeRating: 1 out of 5This was one of the worst events we've attended. While we appreciate Whoopi's more liberal political views, we wanted to laugh, not be lectured to. And, what little comedy she attempted was in very bad taste and not funny.
