About

Whitney - Queen of the Night is a touring tribute show honoring the music, life and legacy of the late Whitney Houston. Named after the swaggering hard rock single from The Bodyguard soundtrack, the show celebrates 30 years of hits sung by the superstar lovingly remembered as “The Voice,” from “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” and “Saving All My Love for You” to “How Will I Know,” “Greatest Love of All” and, of course, “I Will Always Love You.” After initially premiering on London’s West End, Whitney - Queen of the Night is set to hit the road across the United States and Great Britain for nearly 100 shows throughout 2024.

    Not what i expected

    by Loz on 4/13/24

I know there will never be a voice like Whitneys, but when i saw that this show was direct from the West End, i was expecting a close match. There is no denying that the tribute act can sing, her voice is amazing, but for me she doesnt even come close. The venue in York was full of drunk whitney wannabees, shouting along at the top of their voices and standing up, which made it difficult to hear the vocals and also to see the stage (I felt like i was at a concert not a theatre show) The whole set was quite cheap and you could tell it was low budget.

She was a great singer. I really enjoyed her singing all of Whitney's music. Her backup singers were good too and band. Good show!

    Interesting Las Vegas-ish Reveue

by Parker on 4/6/24Bayou Music Center - Houston

This was an off the strip Las Vegas like concert of Whitney Houston songs. I'm not sure if the people in the audience were expecting for the show to be this way. I know I was not. The lead singer was a good vocalist. The background singer had some "interesting"choreography and outfits. There wasn't a storyline. The band and singers came out and started singing. They provided fun facts about Whitney throughout. The band was good. The group of people in our section made the experience fun.

    Okay for the money

by Justin on 4/6/24Bayou Music Center - Houston

The venue was fine. The song selection could have been much better. She did a few songs that I barely knew versus doing others that are better. I also didn't want to hear the backup singers do entire songs especially the good ones that she should have done. Overall for what I paid it was entertaining but a few minor fixes would have made it much better.

    Great Lead

by RodRod on 4/5/24Aztec Theatre - San Antonio

Although the lead singer was good, this was in no way a good value. The back-up singers were so stiff and those whole thing was a little amateur - especially for the price. We disappointedly left at the intermission.

    Don’t waste money

    by LNS on 4/3/24

This is what you would find in a Las Vegas lounge at midnight on a Wednesday. If you are going to do a Whitney Houston tribute, you better do it right. I’m not really sure how this became a show that goes on the road that people pay to see. Disappointing.

Stick to the melody we all love!

by Jayday on 4/2/24Steelhouse Omaha - Omaha

Very disappointed that a "tribute"to Whitney Houston included many songs where the artist changed the melody dramatically vs. the original. When people spend money to go to a tribute concert, they expect to hear songs the way they were originally sung--NOT the way the entertainer wants to present them. Crowds want to sing along with each tune and enjoy a trip down memory lane. There were several times during this performance where I didn't even recognize the song at all. Not what I expected, and had I known ahead of time, I would not have purchased tickets at all. I gave the performance 3 stars because the artists WERE talented and I enjoyed the songs they sang correctly, at least.
