About

Whitney - Queen of the Night is a touring tribute show honoring the music, life and legacy of the late Whitney Houston. Named after the swaggering hard rock single from The Bodyguard soundtrack, the show celebrates 30 years of hits sung by the superstar lovingly remembered as “The Voice,” from “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” and “Saving All My Love for You” to “How Will I Know,” “Greatest Love of All” and, of course, “I Will Always Love You.” After initially premiering on London’s West End, Whitney - Queen of the Night is set to hit the road across the United States and Great Britain for nearly 100 shows throughout 2024.

    Whitney Tribute

by Michael on 3/18/24The Fillmore Charlotte - Charlotte

The overall performance was good. The performer had good energy; however, missed several key notes that is iconic to Whitney. It reminded me more of a "busker"event or a general performance versus a "tribute". Many people in the audience I overheard saying similar comments about certain notes, mannerisms, and overall Whitney "facts"that were missed. The engagement with the audience was lacking. The energy was sedated that only half of the crowd stood for 2 songs. I did not recall seeing everyone stand and jubilant like I thought when the iconic songs were played. It was a good time. In general, lacking in personal touches that could have made this an actual "tribute". I would not pay for another ticket if I had a chance to see this again unless changes were done.

    The singer & music

by Deb on 3/18/24The Fillmore Charlotte - Charlotte

The singer was absolutely awesome. The venue was nice except for the seats. They are too narrow.

    Not Whitney Houston

by Peg on 3/16/24The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

The lead singer was beautiful and she had a voice to match. However, her voice was lower than Whitney Houston's. The selection of songs missed several of Whitney's more famous and recognizable ones which I found disappointing. The two dancers were miscast. They were distracting as I found their costuming to be cheap and a bit trampy - not like the lead singer whose costuming was elegant. They looked more suitable for a strip bar. Overall - this evening was not even close to the talent I've enjoyed with several other acts at the Music Hall.

An entertaining evening with so much talent and energy.

We always enjoy shows at the Musuc Hall. The smaller setting is so much better than huge places.

    Fantastic Tribute

by Randy on 3/14/24The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring

Her voice and body language was expressive and beautiful. The music just flowed from her. Great back up singers/dancers too.

    Horrible less than amateur show

by Jo Jo on 3/14/24Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - Westbury

3/12/24 Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair. This was the worst performance =I have ever seen. The dancers had no rhythm and their microphones were off for the first 45 minutes. They didn't even dance to the beat. The band was off beat and didn't even look like they wanted to be there. The lead singer hit some good notes but on a whole didn't give a good performance. They seemed like they were having a bunch of technical difficulties on stage. It was so bad that people were leaving after the second song. We stayed until intermission. She was only on stage for 45 minutes before we left. My sister in law was so upset because she bought the tickets for me. I feel so bad because she wasted over 200 dollars. Very surprised that Westbury hosted such an awful performance. It was such a disappointment.

    Mediocre

by JJ on 3/12/24Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair - Westbury

Main singer and band were great. Back up vocals were ok, dance moves were out there. Too many outfit changes, not needed. Sound issues. Seemed amateur for the price.
