Moving the Dog Show Agility Competition to the Billie Jean Tennis Center in Queens had many advantages. The space available for new competitions like Dock Jumping and demonstrations was excellent - lots of places to sit outside on a beautiful day. However, there was no guide or schedule of evens so things were easy to miss.
The seating inside the Arthur Ashe stadium was plentiful. So many more people could be accommodated than previously. However, the numerous interruptions of the event for commercials by sponsors was very bothersome, annoying, and distracting.
A word about parking facilities: horrific. No signage directing you to lots, and competition for spaces from baseball fans at nearby Citi Field. .
The event itself is always very appealing - a lot of fun. But we probably won’t go back in the future. We preferred the use of NYC piers for this event. Much more accessible.
