About

Almost four years after his first foray into unfamiliar concert territory with his highly-acclaimed Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour, "Weird Al" Yankovic is pressing his luck again, this time with The Unfortunate Return of the Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour. The tour marks Weird Al's long-anticipated return to the concert stage after his hugely successful Strings Attached Tour in 2019 where he performed each night alongside a full symphony orchestra.

Once again drawing from his back catalogue of 14 studio albums, Weird Al promises to deliver a different set list every night, with no two shows the same. As before, rather than focusing on the hits from his career, the show will feature Yankovic's non-parody material - the somewhat more obscure pastiches and original songs that have largely escaped the pop culture radar but are adored by his long-time fans. And like the last Vanity Tour, he is leaving behind the high-octane theatrics that he's known for and going bare-bones - no costumes, no props, no video screens… just Al and his band of almost four decades in smaller, more intimate venues, hanging out on stage, playing music.

"Weird Al" Yankovic is the biggest-selling comedy recording artist of all time. A five-time Grammy winner, his 2014 release Mandatory Fun was the first comedy album in history to debut at #1 on Billboard's Top 200. He is one of only five artists to have had Top 40 singles in each of the last four decades, the other four being Michael Jackson, Madonna, U2, and Kenny G. On August 27, 2018 the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce awarded Weird Al with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Second Wird Al Concert will not go back.

by What happen to Al on 10/16/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

All Al did is sat on his hi chair and sang songs I did not really know. I left (for the first time in a Concert) about a hour into it. He did warn the Audience that he was going to sing songs that he want to sing and not necessary the poplar ones.

    Thank you so much Al!

by Pierre on 10/16/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

He announced it was going to be "obscure songs like this one" and proceeded to sing Melanie, I was soooo happy and sang all the lyrics just not too loud lol. He played everything I wanted to hear, I am so grateful to of been a part of the second show.. I missed the first show and my friend had a list... I wish I could of gone to that first show!! 😭😭😭 Im a huge fan and will always be!! Thank You Al for all the years, I grew up with your music, forever grateful!!

If you enjoy, non-parody originals, you may enjoy the show.

by John on 10/16/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

It was not crystal clear that this event would be so many original songs, and only one parity song. It was listed on his website, but when buying tickets for a “Weird Al” Yankovic show, I was expecting more stuff that actually made him famous. I was among many fans to leave early for this reason, and there was a lot of disappointment in the theater.

    Fun night

by Kimmy on 10/16/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

This was a show I had been waiting for. Emo Philips, who opened was hysterical. Weird Al was fun and engaging. The whole concert rocked. Everyone there had a great time

    Incredible

by Brian on 10/16/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

Weird Al, is a true entertainer in every sense of the word! His show was full of energy. Funny and moving. I think he’s the most underrated talented person who you know of, but would never think INCREDIBLE! In my opinion he’s a must see!!

The band was too loud, the lights were annoying.

by Lou on 10/16/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

We came to hear Weird Al. It's the lyrics that make him special. We've been fans since he started with his accordion in his bathroom (Dr. Demento, circa mid-80s). The blaring band drowned him out, and the awful strobe lights (aimed at the audience) were an uncomfortable distraction. We were glad when it was over. Such a disappointment.

Emo and Weird Al are a must see.

by Rick on 10/16/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

Been a fan of both for what seems like most of my life, hadn't seen Emo in 20 years and I still love his dark humor. As for Weird Al I always liked liked his songs but 16 years ago I took my family to one of his concerts and we were blown away ,we haven't missed a tour since .As long as he tours my family and I will there to see it.

Weird Al didn't really enjoy at all.

by Dansone54 on 10/15/22Pensacola Saenger Theatre - Pensacola

Not familiar with the site. I ended up in nose bleed section. We were in the very top row and you couldn't see being so far up.

    An exceptional night of entertainment

by Barb on 10/15/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

Weird Al and his band and light show were amazing. I've seen him before at the Hollywood which was great, and this was an equally great but different experience. The songs just blew everyone away, because they were deep cuts and in a small venue. We had a great time. The Parker Playhouse is beautiful, by the way. Drinks are overpriced at the concession stand, so we won't make that mistake again. Everything else was outstanding!

The biggest ball of twine in Minnesota!

by Dodo on 10/15/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

Great legendary performer!! Weird Al is so funny!! Just wish there were some hits he would’ve played but I totally understand him wanting to do all his originals which is just fine with me!!

    Incredibly talented and twisted

by Cathy on 10/15/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

It was a low key experience which I liked. Weird Al's band has fantastic musicians. I enjoyed hearing his own songs. I was a little sad not to hear any of the big hit parodies. He could have done them without all the fanfare. It was a good night.

    Disappointing

by Mike on 10/15/22Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

Had I known that he wasn’t going to do his old popular favorites that we all love so well, I would have saved my money.

    Had a blast!

    by Danielle on 10/15/22

My husband took our two girls 13 and 7 and they had an absolute blast! They knew all the songs and it was nice that he did his older songs and not just the hits. Wish we were all able to do the next night he was at the same place but we couldnt make it :/ until next time!! Thank you!

    He Warned Us....

by Elvis on 10/15/22Pensacola Saenger Theatre - Pensacola

Well, this was the typical Weird Al show - and he warned us as much. Playing mostly less popular songs and primarily not his satirical knock-offs, this was unlike any of the other three shows that I've seen him perform live. I really can't say I'm disappointed. But I'm disappointed.

"Weird" Al Yankovic : The Later Years!

by Vera Diaz on 10/14/22Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

Yeah,to be very honest it was okay though it could have been much better. It started off with him saying he would not be singing the hits and he just sang "Dare To Be Stupid" in like this really slow and relaxed version and he messed up some of the lyrics of another song though his sense of humor and story telling was very interesting. He sat down for most of the show and looked exhausted right until the last part where he stood up and drank some water then he sang another two jams. So,in conclusion he was entertaining though it could have been great if he actually sang those hits we all grew up listening to on the cassette player and it seemed like he needed an oxygen mask at the very last part.

    Weird Al Wows Once Again!

by Luna Star on 10/14/22Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

Despite his age, Weird Al has some pipes to spare, and he used them all for this spectacular performance! Emo Philips took the time to make fun of Texas just as much as himself and was a hoot. And boy, did Al perform! One of my favorite concerts of the year for sure :) cant miss 'Albuquerque'!

I wasn't sure what to expect

by D. V. on 10/13/22Heymann Performing Arts Center - Lafayette

For starters, Emo Philips was Fantastic. Wierd Al was great. I had forgotten how many great songs he had that weren't parodies. The enery between Al and the audience was unbelievable. I dont know if he is that well received everywhere he performs, but Lafayette absolutely Loves him...

    Dream come true!

by Violaceous Curiosity on 10/13/22Heymann Performing Arts Center - Lafayette

It was the perfect venue for this concert, and I have wanted to see Weird Al since I was a kid! The smaller venue gave it a more intimate feeling, it was also roomier than traditional stadium seating, and the acoustics were insane!. The staff was incredible as well. Weird Al and the band blew our minds!! Everyone in the crowd let loose and just had the best time! It felt like one, big, nerdy family, and our faces hurt from smiling and laughing so much! We couldn't believe we were actually there!
