    Better than I expected!

by Barcodeman on 1/4/20Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

My wife urged me to get tix to the New Year's Eve performance in Edmonton and I landed seats in the fourth row. While the production began on a slightly squeamish and overly-earnest note, I sat back and took in over a dozen, beautifully-choreographed song and dance numbers. The staging is very innovative, doing a good job of evoking the futuristic setting of the story - which, admittedly, wasn't all that strong. (Like Mamma Mia, you take a bunch of unrelated songs from a single source and then try to craft a decent storyline with them - almost impossible!) As expected, the "encore" (which we all knew was coming because of its blatant omission - or reading ahead in the printed program) was an absolute blast! The young people performing in this production obviously enjoy what they're doing and the audience did too!

    Ringing in with Queen

by EddieB on 1/4/20Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Found the show very entertaining and were impressed with all the Canadian cast members. Was a great alternative for a New Year’s Eve outing.

Vocals were great but the story line was weak.

by Deenie on 1/3/20Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Enjoyed the music but did not like the story line - felt like watching a high school play. Though it might be more about Queen, the band. Rather disappointing.

    Give this one a miss

by MJ on 1/3/20Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The performers were talented and enthusiastic but everything else about this show was disappointing. Costumes, set, dialogue and overall plot were weak and seemed dated. Not worth the money, I’m afraid.

    Nostalgic fun

by B. L. on 1/3/20Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Talented and energetic young singer/actors deliver sincere performances despite a silly and now dated storyline. Still worth it to hear live renditions of wonderful songs. Very family friendly so a great way to remember your concert going youth while introducing your kids or grandkids to something you love. Enjoy!

    Terribly disappointing

by JJR on 1/3/20Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

After reading about this musical and its history and renewed interest with the Bohemian Rhapsody movie thought it would be a nice way to bring in the New Year. I expected a thin plot to tie the songs together but the plot was beyond silly and fluff. First half dragged and at intermission a few in our group considered leaving. However second half was much better, but not enough to save it. Could have just watched the second half without suffering through the first half.

    Exhilarating Experience

by bwaycan on 12/31/19Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

First class performance by a Canadian Company competing with the some of the best shows we have seen. High energy performance peaking in the finale performance of Bohemian Rhapsody. Well done Canada

    Weird

by Queen Fan on 12/31/19Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

This show was nothing like what I expected. My children loved it, but I thought the story was weird. I couldn’t actually believe that Queen would want to be associated with this musical at all. I wish that we had flown to Vancouver and seen Queen perform with Adam Lambert instead, but unfortunately we aren’t made of money.

    Venue was a bad choice

by A on 12/31/19Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

For a show written and mostly cast here in Calgary I am blown away you’d chose a horrible Venue. Grey eagle where you can dance and sing along would be way better. Basically we sat still not able to dance or move at the jubilee. The music was quite quiet and I sat in row CCC. I enjoyed the writing and the singing was amazing. I didn’t enjoy the change of lyrics to radio Gaga but I understand what they were trying to get across. Overall I really enjoyed it, it just would have been a 5 if the venue was chosen better.

    Underwhelming

by Andrew on 12/17/19Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

Expected more from this, but did not meet expectations. The "Queen" name in the title is deceiving and not enough music throughout this musical.

Of course the music and singing were good but nothing else

by Scooby on 12/5/19The Louisville Palace presented by Cricket Wireless - Louisville

Was one of the worst plays I had ever seen. We were hoping it would get better but never did. Left at intermission.
