  • My new favorite musical!!!

by HeatherElin on 6/11/14Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This show was A...MA...ZING!!! From the incredibly talented cast (& I saw the understudy for the lead) to the awesome band this show blew me away. And let's not forget the great writing! The dialogue & reworking of song lyrics had me laughing my arse off! This one is gonna be a cult classic, right up there with Rocky Horror. I believe Freddie would approve!!

It was a great show. Lots of great stage presence and fun music.

  • They did rock us!

by EveinVA on 6/11/14Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

They took parts or whole Queen songs and put them together to a story line. This sounds easier to do than it is. Music was great (of course) voices were good (some better than others). The sets were a mix of video and/or normal set stuff. Very cool how they pulled it all together. I would have given this 5 stars if 'Ozzie's' voice was better and if the main singer "Galileo" sounded more like Freddie Mercury. He was great but so much of Queen is really Freddie and his incredible voice. Definitely worth seeing though.

  • We Will Rock you was so much fun!

My family and I really enjoyed this show. It is a very original story that ties the songs of Queen nicely together. We did not know quite what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. Very clever use of lyrics (not just from Queen songs) woven into the dialogue with appealing characters. We had a great time. It really turns into a rock concert at the end!

  • Very forgetable!!!!

    by gj4562 on 6/11/14Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Some of the singing artists were fairly good but otherwise the plot is really dumb, the sets are trite and glitzy but showed a real lack of creativeness. It is a low bar in the theatre. Should never have been produced. And if that is what Ben Elton is about, he should go back to some easy day job. Completely useless loud musical signafying nothing. But love to be in the Warner Theatre......so absolutely beautiful..

  • We will repulse you

by Dayspagal on 6/11/14Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 2 out of 5

This was a lude, crude, and disgusting show. After researching pretty thoroughly, and reading again and again that this show was appropriate family fare, I took my family, which includes a 12 year old boy, to the show. From the very beginning, it was basically gyrating T&A, lude suggestive sexual gestures, scantily clad women with breasts falling out in every direction and singing that was screeching and fuzzy, terrible quality sound. The acting was your standard mediocre over-acting and the plot is thin with the kind of dialogue that a middle school drama club would be embarrassed to deliver. The Killer Queen is expecially raunchy, this was a crappy Vegas-style act at best, what a waste of money, even at half price it was a bad value. Let me be clear as I wish someone out there would have been with me, unless your family viewing includes porn or burlesque, this show is not for your type of family. Granted, Mercury had his not-so-subtle crude side, no doubt, but from all I read this musical was supposed to be a tribute to the great music and instead the music, which still holds up today and is brilliant, took a backseat to the actors' backsides.

  • The House Rocked

What a wonderful show. The cast was fantastic and the story very cleaver.

  • WWRY...rocked us!

    by Kristin825 on 6/10/14Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This was a fun, engaging, and totally rockin' musical (with an awesomely talented...and hot!...cast). In my opinion, this was one of the better examples of this brand of musical (which is carried on the strength of Queen's catalog and a cast of very talented singers). I would go back and see it again in a heartbeat!

  • We Will Rock You was Outstanding!

    by 124589 on 6/9/14Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great - visually as well as sound-wise. However, they need to ratchet back the volume a little; it almost hurt my ears! All cast members had fantastic voices, and the choreography was super. I am not a long-time Queen fan, but I recognized enough of the songs to thoroughly enjoy it. The weaving together of their songs reminded me of what was done for Mama Mia. There was comedy, too, which was a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend this show.

  • Putrid Excuse for "Theater"

    by MarkNYC64 on 6/9/14Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Finally saw WWRU after a friend's recommendation who LOVES it, and after writing a story on the lighting back in the early 2000s. I figured, "how bad can it be?" Well, pretty bad apparently. First off, the performers were fantastic, each and every of them. My issue is with, well, everything else. Aside from the structure of the "story" -- a term I used VERY loosely -- the songs weren't propelling the plot AT ALL. And some of the lesser known Queen tunes just weren't that great. Seriously, WWRU makes "Mamma Mia" look like Chekov. I can't believe Ben Elton was involved in this treacle. I enjoy mindless entertainment as much as the next person, but this was just embarrassing.

  • We Will Rock You, will rock you!

by TonyCMF on 6/9/14Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great with classic Queen hits and current day references. Loved the music and the cast. Great vocals from the two main charters, and of course the band nailed each song! Go and see it!!!

  • WWRY was so much fun.

by dontmissWWRY on 6/9/14Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

We saw WWRY in London seven years ago. This story line differed from what we saw but the music, singing and dancing were just as good if not better than we recall. We think this story line had more humor and who doesn't love to laugh. The story line is consistent with today's events and most enjoyable. The character development was well done and the reference to current celebrities was creative and funny. This was a very entertaining, nostalgic evening and definitely worth the time and money. I highly recommend seeing this wonderful performance by these high energy and talented actors and musicians.

  • Terrible to the point of being funny

by BigQueenFan on 6/8/14Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Wow, that was pretty darn awful! A ridiculous plot which I might have been able to forgive if the music had been good. There were a lot more non-Queen songs than I would have expected and the show's renditions of my favorite hits were not good.

  • We will rock you, rocks.

by fineok on 6/7/14Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

loved everything. Music, dancing, it was funny, and extremely well done. Don't miss this! I see many broadway shows and I'm a hard critic so believe me when I say this was wonderful.

  • Great Show

    by warriorfan84 on 6/6/14Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

The music was great, but the story telling could have been better. We got there early and got a sneak peak at what songs they were going to play and it sounded promising. It was opening night and they had a technical difficulty, which lead to 2 brief intermissions. Overall I think the actors did a good job at portraying Queen. It was a little over the top at times but other than that I really enjoyed it.

  • Outstanding Singing

by Anonymous on 6/6/14Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

This show was Broadway and then some when it comes to singing and dancing. The two leads in the show were phenomenal to say the least. The plot was dissapointing but worth the price of admission to hear these Queen songs done by some extremely talented voices.

  • I got rocked!

by thelastgl on 6/6/14Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This Musical, akin to rock of ages in the "rocking" category was fantastic. The actors were great, they did Mercury proud. The Music, Comedy, how it nods to the futuristic views of the 80s...even the characters names...its so good. My friend who I went with does not like musicals but loves QUEEN, this is how I got him to go, by the end of the show he was like "Can we get tickets for another showing?!?!?"

  • We Will Rock You was not worth high cost of ticket

by DoNotGoToThis on 6/6/14Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

The singing was very good, but the acting and "dancing" was terrible. Several of the actors even messed up their lines. In addition, some of the chosen music was horrible (I do not mean any of the songs from/by Queen). With all of the amazing singers who can act and actors who can sing, this show should have been much better. Finally, the technical difficulties that shut the show down for 15 - 20 minutes should have been ironed out before the show ever opened. Ninety dollars per ticket is way too much money to spend for a show as rough as this one.

  • We Sall Rock You was weird

by Anonymous on 6/6/14Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

Took a while to get into the show but weird but fun after that. The voices were best as a group, otherwise didn't seem clear enough
