    We Were Promised Jetpacks 10'

by Nieves on 10/27/10Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORK

I've seen this band a few times already and have had a great time at each show. Super good sound and energy. They open with "Conductor" (a very good song) and it only gets better from there. They also played some new songs not on "These Four Walls" album.

    The Jetpacks were FRICKIN' AWESOME!!!

by IllustratedLady on 7/17/10The Horseshoe Tavern - Toronto

I was turned on to this band back in January and have been in love ever since. This show was amazing! The venue was great, I prefer seeing shows at bars rather than arenas & stadiums so the Horseshoe Tavern was perfect. The crowd was awesome and of course the Jetpacks rocked! I can't wait for their next album and hope that they come to upstate New York, Not that I minded driving the 3 hours to Canada to see them, I'd do it again in a heartbeat! If you like these guys and they come to your town (or near by) GO SEE THEM!!!!!

We Were Promised Jetpacks was fantastic!

by supercanuck on 7/10/10Magic Stick - Detroit

The Magic Stick really is a great place to catch a show. Small and intimate, it is possible to get close to the band. Both Jetpacks and their opening act, Bear Hands, were fabulous. Jetpacks had great energy and sounded amazing live. Lead singer, Adam Thompson, has a wonderful since of humour and would talk to the audience every once in a while. I would definitely see them again!

Love the Jetpacks! Although part of me wants them to stay relatively obscure so I can continue to see them in small venues.

    Killed It!

by carrieamy on 6/30/10Music Hall of Williamsburg - Brooklyn

They destroyed last night. They play with such intensity but it stil manages to be really fun and upbeat. They could easily rock an entire stadium. The band is incredibly talented and played their instruments so fast their hands were but a blur. Loved it!

    Great show

by QWERTYUKKOQER on 6/30/10Music Hall of Williamsburg - Brooklyn

Both WWPJ and Bear Hands put on great shows! Really awesome venue, too. My only gripes were that the vocals for WWPJ were cranked WAY too loud (ears are still ringing) and they did not play an encore...which I suspect was a venue/time limit issue. Overall, great time and would definitely recommend!!!

    The Scottish Ladds Rock!

by dancetheghost on 3/14/10Grog Shop - Cleveland

Great show at the Grog Shop in Cleveland by We Were Promised Jetpacks! Loved seeing the singer belt em out. A lot of natural talent there and I am so looking forward to hearing more from them over the years! Great voice, a great Scot accent and then they break into the hard pumping punk sound and it gets right into my soul!

The Lonely Forest dominates new woodlands...

by InVERSing on 3/2/10Troubadour - West Hollywood

Although many came to see We Were Promised Jetpacks preform their favorite songs, many were taken by suprise by the incredible talent presented by the opening acts. Bear Hands took to the stage first and succeeded in making heads bobb and feet tap. The Lonely Forest then inspired the crowd with their incredible passion for their music while girls oogled and snapped photographs of the newly signed group. Lyrically captivating and instrumentally catchy, they quickly grabbed the attention of the Troubadour and collected new fans. We Were Promised Jetpacks came on next with an inviting roar of the crowd and fans crowded in to get as close as possible to the stage. Pretty good show I'd say. But overall, I would say that The Lonely Forest had the best energy and crowd pleasing preformance.

    Great show @ the Troubadour

by krock73 on 3/1/10The Troubadour - West Hollywood

Fantastic show, they sounded great live. Even the people who went with us who hadn't heard the album loved the show. Great energy, and unbelievable stage presence for such a young band--these guys are going to be around for a while and could have played for a much bigger audience with ease...

It's Thunder and It's Lightning at the Middle East

    by Gaffney83 on 2/17/10Middle East - Cambridge

The show was as spectacular as the opening track on their album, These Four Walls. Immediately engaging the crowd and setting the mood, playing Quiet Little Voices second on the set list, their energy built steadily through the gig.

    Leavin' on a Jetpack!

by Pelham on 2/15/10Middle East - Cambridge

Sensitive souls blast off and burst into anthems at the Middle East in Cambridge, MA. with the Scottish foursome, "We Were Promised Jetpacks". Spindryer rhythm guitar revved into overdrive with quick-fitted bass punches. WWPJs' sound showered fire and sparks all night to the delight of the late-Sunday night crowd. Often stepping away from the mic, the singer's Scottish brogue could still be heard. No encore but I did leave on a Jetpack!
