Great energy. Super fun time! Highly recommended! :)
I don't go to shows much anymore but this has been my favorite band for the last 3 years. I was blown away!!! Studio albums do them no justice. Amazing, amazing, amazing!!!
Fantastic show! I never listened to them before but was completely blown away by how awesome they truly are. Listening to them on an iPod/radio does them absolutely NO JUSTICE. The Sinclair was a perfect place to house this band. It was sort of small but comfortable. Wasn't overly crowded and I liked that there were bars both upstairs and downstairs. Phenomenal show altogether. Would DEFINITELY see them again in a heartbeat!!!
His was one if the best shows I have ever gone to. WWPJ were amazing!
Band was in excellent form! They keep getting better, and the new material was EPIC! Great show, only (small) complaint was that the sound close to the stage was not as good as back of the house. Everything else - awesome! Good crowd too!
I've listened to this band for a few years now and always thought they were great. The live show surpassed my expectations by a huge margin, tons of energy, sounded amazing, made it one the funnest shows I've been to in a long time, even if Webster Hall completely sucks. Would absolutely go them anywhere.
Great band - great gig - great new tunes from new album...
I hadn't seen them live before, but have rocked out to their albums a number of times. I was already a fan. But their live show was so much more enveloping, so much more immersing! Rich sounds and multiple layers from their 3 guitars, 1 bass, 1 keyboard/sampler and drummer. I'll be going to their next show here in Boston.
Band is super friendly and puts on an amazing show!
We Were Promised Jetpacks played a great show. The venue is an average bar with a wide open room for shows -- nothing special, but the drink prices were good :) the size of the venue lent an up-close and personal vibe... Which was broken at times by loud drunk audience members. Opening bands weren't great, but they rarely are. WWPJ was fantastic. Vocals were a bit hard to hear but it didn't ruin the experience. Only major complaint was that I had no idea WWPJ wasn't goin on until 11:50 pm. It was advertised as a 9 pm show. I drove from out of town for this and would've loved to know this; I would've taken my good old time while traveling.
Jetpacks played an amazing show that sounded even better than the album. Almost an hour set with a great song lineup from pit of the stomach and a few from these four walls. Great band to see live every time they come to the USA
I truly enjoyed seeing these guys and had been trying to see them since I heard they debut a couple of years ago. Jumped at the chance and it was well worth. The live versions of their songs made the album versions, themselves great, seem pedestrian in comparison. That is the sign of a great band. However, it appeared that half the crowd had no idea who they where and just happened to be in the neighborhood. Ah yes, the NYC concert-goer.
Every time I see these guys they get better and better. We were able to snag some great seats up on the balcony. They songs they play are great on the albums, but the lead singer and drummer just seem to be having such a good time standing up there singing and playing!
so bloody good!!! will blow you away!!! they play their hearts out every time
These guys are so good! It's the secondt time I've seen them in Boston and I'll see them whenever/wherever I can. They've got a following because I met the same people from the last show.
Awesome band to see live. Even if you don't know them that we'll their talent will blow you away
WWPJPs was stellar. If you have the chance to see them live - go. I would go again in a heartbeat. I wish the ATL crowd was more energized, because it would it would have pumped the band to play. They didn't play some songs I really thought they would and there was no encore. It was almost as if the band said that "ATL, you had no energy and don't deserve my best or an encore". Even that said, I can't wait to see them again.
I was impressed by each of the performances. Bad Veins and New Cassettes are so much better live, and that can be difficult without any sound editing. All the groups were great showmen. It was very exciting to be there and witness them. Each group was clearly vibing off each other making it that much more enjoyable for the crowd.
I am a big fan of all three bands, and I'm actually very surprised at the reviews VV I think all three bands did great! WWPJ showed there heart, The Royal Bangs was full of energy, and Bear Hands preformance was nothing less then perfect. I didnt see any corners cut in any of the bands that night and the venue was close knit and gave room for respect. Id be happy to return to the music box and am excited to attend more shows to all three of these bands when possible.
