Washington Wizards History
Founded in 1961, the Washington Wizards franchise has called Chicago, Baltimore, Landover, Maryland. and Washington, D.C. home. Known earlier as the Packers, Zephyrs and Bullets, the franchise changed its name to the Wizards in 1997.
After earning two playoff appearances in their first five seasons in Baltimore, the team started a formidable run of postseason success starting in the 1968–69 season. Led by Hall of Famers Earl Monroe and Wes Unseld (and later Elvin Hayes), the Bullets went to the playoffs 12 seasons in a row, including four trips to the Finals and a championship in 1978. Behind an MVP performance from Unseld, Washington defeated Seattle in a decisive Game 7 to clinch the title.
Five consecutive postseason appearances highlighted the Bullets’ 80s. The franchise bounced back in the early 2000s, built around the core of Gilbert Arenas, Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler. That trio led Washington to four straight playoff appearances from 2005–2008. Since then, the Wizards have qualified for the postseason five times behind All-Stars John Wall and Bradley Beal, the latter of which became one of six players in NBA history to average 30-plus points per game in back-to-back seasons.

Fast-pace game with no defense on either side, Cavs ended their losing streak, and Lebron got 57 points!!! Worth the cost!
Game and venue where good, had trouble getting in with just credit card per Ticketmaster. Just hate going thru all the security and metal detectors...
This was my first time at the Capitol One Arena and it didn't disappoint! The staff was exceptionally friendly and patient, especially when they had to answer all of my questions about the hat and shorts and memorabilia I purchased for my kids. They gave great recommendations on sizes and styles and I left feeling that I got exactly what I wanted! Even though I purchased a high level seat, the view was spectacular! My seat had a decent amount of room and, even though the place was packed, it didn't feel like I was crowded or lacked enough room to enjoy the game. Speaking of the game, it was so fantastic! I just happened to go on the night LeBron James scored 57 points, the second highest of his career. Although I'm a Blazer fan through and through, I very much enjoyed my experience at the Capitol One Arena and next time I'm in the area, I'm going again!
I bought the least expensive tickets possible just so I could be in the building to witness the GOAT LeBron James play the game of basketball. But little did I know he would go on to score one point for every dollar I spent on my ticket. 57 POINTS!!! Also every time I've gone to the Verizon Center/ Capital One Arena for an NBA game it has been a great experience with top notch security and other friendly fans.
This was the game of the season to attend. Lebron James is outstanding!
Totally worth it and a great time. The game was exciting and the fans were into the game.
I went to the Washington Wizards vs. Philadelphia 76ers game on Wednesday October 18, 2017 and I thoroughly did not enjoy myself because the seats were up too high. The food was also very ridiculously lavish. I suggest never going to the arena unless they shorten the height of the seats.
Overall, it was good. Lebron James wasn't playing but he entertained the crowd for sure!!!
The process of entering and exiting the event was easy and fantastic. Seats were great. However, food and drinks were very expensive
My son and I went to game 6. We had good seats in section 202 and this was his first game. Game was incredible, came down to buzzer with John Wall hitting a three with 1.7 sec's left in game to take lead. Crowd went nuts. Glad my son and I was there.
Incredible game! So happy I bought these tickets. Great price for a Game 6 playoff game. Would buy these tickets again. Let's go Wizards!
It's playoff season, everyone wants to watch and support the wizards, but tickets are expensive (mostly because of reselling / random fees) and hard to buy because of all the scalpers. I would love to see y'all take steps to make DC's stadium fill up like every other playoff team's stadium - whether that's upgrading people's seat when lower bowls aren't sold or making sure people are actually buying for themselves and friends and not trying to resell for a profit. #DC Family
The game was awesome, the atmosphere was electric, and I enjoyed myself.
Loved the atmosphere. Crowd was amazing. Would love to attend more games if price was consistent.
Bought non-resale LL tickets. Good price for the location. Easy to buy and entered with credit card. Great experience and great win.
Great game. Great seats. Great food. Great service. Great Team.
Overall, I thought the Wizards played hard and showed why they belong in the 2nd Round. See you in Round 3! Let's go Wizards!!!!
This is my third Washington game in the pst 2 years and John Wall always seems to put on a show, the playoff atmosphere is completely different from the regular season as well.
The event was great. For the price the seats were worth the cost. It was my first Playoffs game.
Great seats! I don't mind being on this end. You get a great view of the home team, and it's pretty close up as well. Wishing this area had cup holders like other areas I previously sat in. Otherwise a great time.
