Washington Mystics History
The Washington Mystics are a professional women's basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Since their introduction in 1998 as one of the WNBA’s first expansion franchises, the Mystics have topped the Eastern Conference twice and won the WNBA Finals in 2019. The team was led in their early seasons by multi-season rebounding champion Chamique Holdsclaw and four-time All-Star Alana Beard. The Mystics reached their first Finals in 2018 behind the play of two-time WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne. Washington returned to the Finals in 2019, winning a thrilling 3-2 series against the Connecticut Sun and delivering D.C. its first professional basketball title since 1978. Delle Donne won her second career MVP in 2019 while shooting the WNBA’s only 50-40-90 season, and teammate Natasha Cloud was named the WNBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.

Great process with purchase, notifications and usage at the event.
Awesome establishment. Always a welcoming vibe. Never have any issues. Security is fast the lines are never long. The restrooms are always clean. The team is welcoming and full of energy !
The game was incredible but, the concessions are not worth it! Food was cold and tasted like cafeteria food.
Great experience. Easy $1 senior Metro ride with free Sunday parking. Good cardio walk to arena. Great view, good game, very good fries, easy bathroom access. I'll do it all again.
The Mystics are the best sports value in DC. The team is talented, fun, and social justice oriented. The stadium is great (except for the food, which stinks) and there isn't a bad seat in the house. The level of play in the WNBA has improved greatly in the 26 years since it debuted.
The Washington Mystics put on an exciting and eventful show that felt like more than a game. The atmosphere is electric, the fans are into it. Great music, great vibes! Go check out a Mystics game.
GREAT GAME GREAT SEATS PARKING STAFF WAS EXCELLENT! FOOD PRICES VERY HIGH, I PLACED BBQ ON MY HOT DOG BY MISTAKE AND I WAS GIVEN ONLY A COLD BUN AS REPLACEMENT.
I went with my boyfriend (both 25 y/o) and the atmosphere was INCREDIBLE! It’s the best sporting event I’ve been to in DC by far. Everyone is so welcoming, kind, supportive, and give the mystics their ALL. I couldn’t have had a better time.
Really enjoyed the entire atmosphere for the game.
Nice venue, great game, lots of fun, would recommend.
One of the best experiences I've had in a while! Well organized, clean facility and friendly staff! Graphics were amazing, full of fun and energy. This was by far better than the last game I attended! The crowd was entertaining and to top it off, we got the WIN! I love my DC sports teams!😍
Everything was wonderful except for the ushers who are rude and disrespectful to patrons. It’s unfortunate because the team is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. For ushers to be rude and disrespectful to patrons is unacceptable. It’s the same case at Capital One Arena. Take a page out of Gainbridge Fieldhouse and Spectrum Center on how to treat patrons with respect as gracious hosts.
This was the best game i have ever been the atmosphere is that area is always great im going to the second home game as well and it’s going to be great
I had a great sitting. It was really cheap. I had a tome of my life! I would go back and purchase another ticket. Great outing for a date!
- The elevator did not work in the parking garage. - Entering the arena showed a very unorganized system. After entering the arena, we were told we had to go back outside, and wait about a half an hour, because the doors were not opened yet. - The food from the concession stand was not only expensive, but also burnt. - The half-time activities were not entertaining.
I love the Mystcs! Win or lose their my team. At first I was not excepted about the move from Capitalone Arena, because Metro was so close. However I don’t feel that way anymore. I love the new arena, It’s small so you can feel the cheering. My only concern is that it need more enter & exit areas. Tickets were easy to obtain online, which made it easier to check in! People and the staff is really kind, very helpful. Food good and reasonable price. I will be there next year.
Everything very well organized at the WNBA event at the Entertainment and Sports Arena! Parking process was smooth and shuttles to the arena were great. Great staff available to "herd" everyone where they needed to go, and everyone was pleasant & helpful. The game was a blast - can't wait to come again!
Great players with amazing ball handling skills. Three pointers, interceptions, and great teamwork bringing home a win for Washington.
Always enjoy the Venue. The energy is Great & Exciting! Nice Family Outing for those looking for an afternoon or event. Enjoyable!
Awesome game. Great Win. Great seats. Great sports event.
