Washington Mystics History
The Washington Mystics are a professional women's basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Since their introduction in 1998 as one of the WNBA’s first expansion franchises, the Mystics have topped the Eastern Conference twice and won the WNBA Finals in 2019. The team was led in their early seasons by multi-season rebounding champion Chamique Holdsclaw and four-time All-Star Alana Beard. The Mystics reached their first Finals in 2018 behind the play of two-time WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne. Washington returned to the Finals in 2019, winning a thrilling 3-2 series against the Connecticut Sun and delivering D.C. its first professional basketball title since 1978. Delle Donne won her second career MVP in 2019 while shooting the WNBA’s only 50-40-90 season, and teammate Natasha Cloud was named the WNBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.

The game was great. The girlies came to play! I was rooting for all of the women!!
I had a great time at the arena to see the Washington Mystic play. I will continue to get for these games.
The game was incredible! Such a special team. Great fans!
It was great to see the Mystics in action whilst visiting Washington. The game was fabulous and went through to the final minutes, and this is a relatively new venue from the looks of it and it offers lots of options of food and drinks. It’s really easy to get to from the local metro and whilst we didn’t visit them there are new restaurants in the area. Definitely worth visiting if you are in town.
If you want a fun time on a sunday afternoon this is your ticket. Lets Go Mystics!!!
I really enjoyed this game. I was glad the LA Sparks won.
Haven’t been to the venue in a while and I was happy to see the parking garage. It was easy to get in and out logistically! The staff was very helpful. Note to self, secure seating on level 1! Section 203, was a bit steep for me! I had to keep my eyes on the screen verses the floor. In my older age, heights are not my friend! I’ll be back in lower seating
First time going and they won can’t wait to go again.
Great atmosphere, hard to get to from the MD suburbs NEA Columbia, brutal from Baltimore.
The game was enjoyable. My first time at the arena that was built for WNBA games. I've watched games when played at Capital One Arena. Need better qualify concessions options. Was confused at first on how to get to parking garage but plenty of officers around. Would like for facility to open hour and half before game not just hour before or at least let disabled in early. Game activities when game not in play were good. Not as much funding as men but they do well with what they receive. Ticket prices were elevated because of team. Need better idea before buy tickets where home and visitor team sit. I had to search another site to get the information but teams do not exit to locker rooms on side where they sit.
Loving the atmosphere and the crowd it was very ecstatic also love the arena . Go mystics
Great game with great seats! There's not a bad seat in the building!
I had a wonderful time the stadium seating was great. The fans were very friendly. It was very easy to get into the stadium as well as departure. The atmosphere during the game was incredible. The announcer and his interaction with the fans. It was definitely something that I will do again.
The basketball game i attended was awesome everything about it was great and above all we got a monster victory i was be at many more even thinking of becoming a season ticket holder for next season
I had a great time at the game. Awesome experience from start to finish. Best basketball out there - the WNBA needs to expand the league! Top rate support - security, parking, and concessions.
Watching the mystics play is always a treat the arena is new and intimate. I’ve had tickets in almost every section and I haven’t found a bad seat yet. This arena is a win for DC and a win for women’s basketball.
The arena was clean, had good concessions that were appropriately costed for a sporting event, and the Mystics may have lost but we had a great time. Support the WNBA y'all, the games are quality!
It was great! My seats were great and the game was 🔥.
Our night out at the Mystics game was pure magic! Parking was easy, entry was quick and the food and merch options were plentiful. We were entertained the entire time, from dancing pandas to quality play on the court. Would recommend.
