Washington Mystics History
The Washington Mystics are a professional women's basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Since their introduction in 1998 as one of the WNBA’s first expansion franchises, the Mystics have topped the Eastern Conference twice and won the WNBA Finals in 2019. The team was led in their early seasons by multi-season rebounding champion Chamique Holdsclaw and four-time All-Star Alana Beard. The Mystics reached their first Finals in 2018 behind the play of two-time WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne. Washington returned to the Finals in 2019, winning a thrilling 3-2 series against the Connecticut Sun and delivering D.C. its first professional basketball title since 1978. Delle Donne won her second career MVP in 2019 while shooting the WNBA’s only 50-40-90 season, and teammate Natasha Cloud was named the WNBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.

Great seats!! Great atmosphere!! Loved the halftime show!!
Had a great time, people friendly and venue very nice.
The game was awesome. The seats were the best. We are definitely going to another game. Can't wait!
I love going to the Mystics games and love the WNBA as a whole. It's too bad that these talented women get no coverage whatsoever on the sports pages or even the talk shows. They're not men so you won't see the 360% dunks but the quality of play is exceptional. I come to the games from Baltimore and enjoy the experience.
Great Game. We sad to lose the game but we have a excellent family time.
This was my first time going to a WNBA game. I have to say I had a blast. The team is fun to watch, the atmosphere is really pleasant. I took my 11yr old son and 9yr old niece. They enjoyed themselves. I really hope this league stays around because I plan to go to many more games. Metro access is perfect and getting in and out is easy. Please, please support the WNBA. I'm a 41 year old man and love going to this game better than the men.
Love the WNBA! First time watching my team on the road was a blast!
My wife and I really enjoyed the game. Tickets were priced very well, and the fan experience is nice. Next I'd like a t-shirt giveaway promo.
Great game, great facilities, great staff all around
Awesome price for the seats we got. Right behind the scores table! Mystics with the win was icing on the cake. Mobile app was convenient and glitch free.
First WNBA game ever and I had a blast. Staff was friendly, fun atmosphere and great seats!!
She is amazing and unbelievable to watch! She is awesome as a Mystic and I am so glad she beat her former Sky twice in a row!
great game for family fun. i will be catching a few more games this season.
Had a lot of fun. Food was incredibly disappointing though! None of the specialty kiosks were open and the food I did get was horrible. I will eat elsewhere next time
Great game, hopefully a great season!! The game was good, all the staff in the Verizon center were nice. Floor was a little sticky.
Do not second guess your decision on attending a Mystics game their fantastic.
I went to the game and arrived 4 minutes late as I was coming from Baltimore, MD. I ordered my tickets online and I was unable to download the tickets once I got into the Verizon Center. They tried to find the tickets on my card and they weren't there either. The guy helping was rude and was unable to help me and I was sent to another window as everyone who planned to use their phone had the same problem. I understand thst it was a preseason game but all of the food was sitting there cold and uncovered waiting for people to purchase. I spent 40 dollars on food. That's more on the verizon center. I feel that the WNBA crowd is not respected as all other teams maybe because it was a preseason, but if they are not going to open all stands then they can at least make sure the food is good.
This was the best sports event I ever went to. We came to watch rookie Jennie Simms and she did not fail us. She came to impress and handle her business. You will need to watch her in action, she is going to have an amazing career
Always a fun time at a Mystics game especially with great affordable seats.
This was my Very first time seeing a WNBA Game and I must say I enjoyed the experience. Staff was polite , prompt and very helpful. Another plus was, I didn't even know my seats were considered VIP (FLOOR SEATS) and came with complimentary snacks and drinks. All in all the experience was a plus. Can't wait to revisit.
