About

We begin 1978 with tickets to Dean Martin at the Latin Casino! When a severe blizzard blankets the East Coast, Dino's band gets stuck out of town. Rather than disappoint his fans, Dean Martin brings us an intimate evening filled with personal stories and classic songs including, "Ain't That A Kick In The Head," "Everybody Loves Somebody," "That's Amore" and more. For a short while, the man behind the legend reveals the humor, warmth and casual cool that marked his rise from his Italian-only speaking immigrant childhood to become one of the biggest legends in entertainment.

Dino Does the Latin Casino - One last time!

by ohbabyoh on 5/20/13Walnut Street Theatre - Philadelphia

Took my girlfriend to see the matinee show on Sat, May18. It was a birthday surprise for her and the real surprise was how well the intimate setting of the room was transformed into the Latin Casino. The performer, while looking nothing like Dino, had a great set of pipes and showed some of the easy humor and mannerisms that we all loved about Dean. While I would have loved a bit more singing and less chatting with the audience, the show was designed as an intimate evening with Dino, on a cold snowy night at the Latin Casino in 1976. So the story telling soon becomes an intimate look at the life and loves of the man, and each song is prefaced with a bit of background which was informative as well as entertaining. By all means go see Dino, just get there early, so you get a seat!

    Where was Dino ?

by neimiad on 5/13/13Walnut Street Theatre - Philadelphia

The guy who was Dino could sing beautifully. Unfortunately, he didn't look or sound like Dean Martin so it turned out to be some guy singing songs. Sorry but we just didn't enjoy this one - it was not as we expected ! In fact, we left at intermission. First time EVER !

    Dino disappointing

by Hotus on 5/6/13Walnut Street Theatre - Philadelphia

The Dean Martin impersonator is not Italian, speaks with a vaguely southern accent and has a pleasant but average voice. He cannot croon a tune as Martin did and does not come close to mimicking Dean Martin in any way. He does have good stage presence and obviously is an experienced musical actor, but he is not the right guy to pull off this role.
