    The absolute best.

by Jackaay on 11/21/12The Fonda Theatre - Hollywood

This was my second time attending a Walk the Moon show. I saw them this past summer at the Key Club. Let me tell you that they just keep getting better and better. The band sounds amazing live. My friend and I kept saying the whole ride home from the concert how they sound even better live than the actual album. The band has really great energy and the music sounds amazing. They had everyone in the crowd dancing and singing along. I love being a Walk the Moon fan because its a fun excuse to paint each others faces. Its hard to think of anything else to say besides one of the best concerts I've ever been to, and trust me I've been to a lot. If you don't have they album get it! And then go buy a ticket to their show. You will not regret it.

    A Night to Remember!

by JayHT on 11/19/12The Fonda Theater - Hollywood

Walk the Moon was amazing! They didn't miss a beat and had an impressive setlist. I've listened to their past albums and I was blown away by how well they played them live. Tons of energy from start to finish and doesn't let go even after the show's over. In short: Go. See. Them.

Sounded great live. Great stage presence. It was great to just see them up there, very humble, and appreciative of their audience. I walked away with so much energy because they just send it out there to you. Great night. Would definitely see them again.

by xTwiggEx on 11/18/12The Fonda Theatre - Hollywood

This is the most amazing band I've ever seen live! They have so much energy on stage and the music is just as great or even better than the CD. If you want to forget all your worries and just have a good time buy a ticket to their next concert. I'm going every chance I get.

Walk the Moon is just awesome!!

by Jbrolls on 7/28/1220th Century Theater - Cincinnati

Better live than they are recorded! Always so appreciative of their fans. Fans, however; were rude and pushy. We waited in line for two hours so we could be in the front. Others simply shoved their way there. Very young, unseasoned concert go-ers. But we love WTM! Would brave the rude fans to see them again!

I loved every second of it. WTM's energy is undeniable. They seriously have so much fun on stage and you can't help but have fun yourself. I would go see them every night if I could.

Walk the Moon was out of this world!

by dedonics on 7/28/1220th Century Theater - Cincinnati

WTM put on amazing performance at the 20th Century. The local band made it's way back to Cincy after playing prime time gigs on Letterman and elsewhere and reaching the Top Ten Status w/ their new CD on I-tunes for a time... The put on a killer show at the 20th Century.. Music was super tight and the energy was palpable... Great show!!

Awesome show! Was unsure if it was my type of music based on some online listening but some friends talked me into going and I was certainly not disappointed.

The men of walk the moon are not only the nicest but they are so friggin talent and amazing i'm literally addicted to them. I've seen adele live and WTM gives me more chills. They are so worth seeing, and i had the privilege to enjoy them before they get too big but they deserve it. Do yourself a favor, paint your face, grab your friends, and have an amazing night at any walk the moon concert. Dare you not to dance, or have a bad time.

Walk the Moon on the brink

by HankB1 on 6/21/12Mercury Lounge - New York

Last year around this time Foster the People were just about to blow up thanks to their breakout song "Pumped Up Kicks." This summer might very well be the coming out party for Ohio synth/pop act Walk the Moon thanks in large part to their catchy, addictive single "Anna Sun." Their record release gig Tuesday, 6.19 at Mercury Lounge showcased their confidence and ability. It also had its share of misfires. A 20 plus minute delay to start the show due to technical problems was the first obstacle. Frontman Nicholas Petricca kept things jovial as the time passed on but he, and clearly drummer Sean Waugaman were agitated. Was there not a sound check? On the night of your first big NYC headlining show should this issue have been resolved prior to the agreed upon 11pm set time? This may be nit picking... but some of us aren't kids anymore. An 11pm Tuesday night show for those who work (from out of state) the next day is a rather large commitment. Once the dust settled the quartet played with vigor and enthusiasm promoting their self titled first full length LP. The good news is they are not a one hit wonder. "Quesadilla" is a fun little track. Their second single, "Tightrope" has all the earmarks of an 80s John Hughes montage track... echo... synths... popping drums. Perhaps the best moments came from "Next in Line," a love song/plea rooted in Human League isms. It includes the simple, but effective line "Why don't you stay shotgun til the day I die?" This are bands doing this act a little better and with more polish. The aforementioned Foster the People, Cut/Copy and M83 come to mind. But for a group just starting out it is easy to see them playing bigger venues their next trip through Manhattan. Petricca has a great voice and confident (maybe too confident) stage presence. His band mates are ok, but can temper the theatrics a bit. No one wants to see the bassist jumping around and knocking over the drum set. They may have announced themselves as a rock outfit, but this is pop gentlemen... leave the thrashing around to Axl Rose and the like. And lose the scoop neck striped American Apparel shirts too. That look does not speak to rock and roll. Perhaps the image issues, technical difficulties and higher than normal expectations led to our early dismissal? Perhaps it was the late hour? Whatever the case may be the grade is good, not epic. Could very well the bar is set very high these days. And that is a very good thing. Let the Summer 2012 concert season begin!

by cpantherc on 6/21/12Mercury Lounge - New York

WTM played Mercury Lounge the night of their CD release! I was super lucky to have been there as they are a band that really rocks it live! So much positive energy and enthusiasm. The guys came out to the bar area after the show to meet some fans which was amazing. They are super nice, talented and fun! Would recommend their music and shows to everyone!
