What a great night spent at a local venue, the Stone Pony, with an amazing band, Waiting on Mongo. First set was unadulterated Mongo. Jam after Jam! The second set, they played for hours!, was a locals dream, with guests from local bands. Collaboration after collaboraton, it was spectacular! Can't wait for the album release in May! Love My Mongo!
Waiting on Mongo are the best New Jersey has to offer. Wear your dancing shoes and be prepared to be blown away! Always a great vibe among the fans and the band gives all of the energy back and them some! This is the band that you will be telling people you saw them before they 'made it big!'
Went to see them after Sea Hear Now and have to say , this group is right up there with the best . #rd time seeing them and always a [ literal ] moving experiences . My kids loved them too so they now have 2 additional fans
Waiting on Mongo was a lot of fun, Great combo of guitar, bass, keyboard, double drummers, and brass. Great to have a venue like the Vogel to get out to see bands again. Downside: Was told to wear mask when sitting at the table. Drinks were very weak, I suggest drinking beer or wine.
The show at the Wonder Bar last Saturday was absolutely electrifying! Superb musicianship, lots of energy, and the enthusiasm of the band only mirrored by that of of the crowd!
No more waiting. We have become "waiters". These guys rock the house. If you like move your feet and dance to funky vibes these guys are at the top of the game! This is a must see band.
