Phenomenal inaugural performance of the Pops of Color. Great immersive experience with often unseen footage of Whitney and her team.
This was fabulous combination of AI, a fabulous Orchestra, and past footage of Whitney Houston.
For the first time since the election, I fel hope. Beautiful children, outstanding musicians, wonderful sense of what we can be when we allow ourselves to accept and celebrate. Thank you for the experience center around the extraordinary gift that was Whitney Houston.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Voice of Whitney. It was fun, musically satisfying, a fitting tribute to the artistry of Whitney Houston. The Pops of Color orchestra was wonderful. As was the singing of Whitney Houston. A great evening.
This was truly an amazing event. It captivated the essence of not only Whitney's spirit but the essence of her music with a fresh take by an amazing orchestra. The arrangements were bold, bright and added new color to an already amazing collection of her music. I truly loved the new arrangements and to see the video added to each piece brought it to life even further. I especially love that there was an added bonus of kids throughout the Tristate area getting to benefit from music education and have a chance to experience the arts. We need arts in the school and I am happy to see this is promoted.
loved it - the live music set to her voice was fabulous- saw videos ive never seen and enjoyed some I remember..... so entertaining
The concept of accompanying Whitney's vocal tracks with a full orchestra, like a reverse karaoke, was a good one. However, the orchestra played to the videos of the familiar radio/video releases where the background tracks were meticulously laid out in the studio, so to an untrained ear, the improvement of the orchestra was minimal, except louder. In order for the video vocals to be heard over the orchestra, they had to crank up the volume and robbed her voice of human warmth. They were more successful with live concert footages where her rifts took our ears out of the realms of familiar radio releases and allowed us to really appreciate the performances. I hope they don't sit on the laurel of a sell-out event, recognize the limitations of official-release videos, and redesign this event using only concert footage to showcase her amazing voice.
