I lost $58.68 for the show. I called 2 weeks early to let them know I had to start my kemo treatments, so I couldn't go. And then I found out I couldn't get my money back. I think that that is wrong. But I guess that's how this. place makes it's money.
All the different countries were absolutely beautiful!
Three generations of our family enjoyed our first Tattoo - and we look forward to many more.
All of the music groups were superb; however, I felt the building was just to small for the number of performers who were on the floor together. Fewer members per group or fewer groups on the floor simultaneously would have presented a better environment for the musicians to perform their various movements.
Always a wonderful experience! Loved the pipes & drums-always amazing! Looking forward to next year!
I've wanted to see the Virginia International Tattoo for many and years and finally glad I was able to go. It beat expectations. Very patriotic....very emotional and stirring. I would highly recommend !!
Beautiful music, performances were outstanding, brought tears to my eyes, so very Patriotic!
We made a long trip to see Top Secret Drum Corps in person and we were amazed by their performance. The Air Force drill team was also amazing. We enjoyed the whole evening.
This was our first time at the Tatoo. And it won't be our last! The show was absolutely amazing. All of the people who participated were excellent and we were thoroughly impressed. I can't imagine the practice that each of these groups must have had; but it certainly showed in their performance. The were spot on. My husband was active duty Army during the Vietnam War and when the Army song was played, he was in tears as he saluted the flag. My husband and I are retired from Civil Service and the patriotism and honor for each service was wonderful. We continue to support all of our military and are grateful for the service for those who have served and those who are currently serving, protecting our freedom. We are thankful for all that gave all. God bless American, land that I love!
Great seating. Seamless ticketing. Great ushers. Loved the lights and lay out
Wow, what an amazing event! My wife and I were in awe of the precision and detail of each preforming group. Can’t hardly wait for this event next year!!!!!
It was my first time to take in the outstanding show. You never had a moment where you were not totally taken by what was going on. I never saw a miss step, some out of place or anything out of place. The entire presentation was just outstanding. Thanks to everyone who gave us a wonderful evenings.
Exciting, moving, and patriotic! Loved all of the performances. Looking forward to the event next year!
Virginia International Tattoo in Norfolk, VA on April 23, 2023 was amazing. Each and every performer whether a dancer or a band member was nothing but the best. To see representation of countries from New Zealand, Australia, Ukraine and so many more made me realize that our world is united except for the few that continue to threaten all. Focusing on the positive, the music these groups shared with us nothing but wonderful. To see them in the massed band made music I will never ever forget. The pipes and drums blended with the brasses and woodwinds was sweet music. Their execution was perfect. The manner the military and the families of the military were honored brought tears to my eyes. To know that I live in a country that respects the military and their families the way USA does makes our freedoms even more valued.
Every performance was incredible!! If you have ever doubted your patriotism, this is the show to see! Navy's perfomance was my favorite. Great acoustics at Scope.
Every aspect of the International Tattoo was professionally prepared and presented. Enjoyed and was patriotically inspired by every country presentation from USA to Ukraine to Singapore and beyond. Worth every penny and would attend future iterations of this excellent show.
This year’s Tattoo (2023) was pretty good, but it wasn’t as good as the last one we saw in 2016. Even though it was the first night of performances (the same as our 2016 visit), the precision of the groups just wasn’t there. I think, in the future, we may have to attend the last show…but then, we would miss the pre-show festivities.
This was a great experience. Being a retired USAF member, it was great to be able to experience it with my family.
Would have liked to see more drill and less family stuff and dances.
