My son's duo won the judges award, so we were thrilled. It was so exciting that the 2 hour drive was worth it. I hope he enters next year, it was so much fun.
Show was great, venue needs better snacks l. We enjoyed our seats very much. The staff was good and friendly
This was our first time attending FITMI and BOY were we impressed. We could tell that ALL the acts had definitely practiced a lot to give their best. It was profound to see the community come together and raise almost $300K for Safe Homes. Dee Griffin's testimony was tear jerking and heartfelt. This was truly the best entertaining and moving experience we have had in years and plan to become avid attendees every year as well as donators to our community for Safe Homes and Domestic Violence. Thank you for bringing awareness, providing a safe place and educating the community about domestic violence.
This was probably the best local fundraiser until the 2023 show. None of the acts that went to the final two were remotely close to deserving to win, let alone competing in the finals. I'm not sure what the judges saw because the audience literally booed their decisions, the fan favorites were completely different, and those teams didn't raise the most money. That is a good way to destroy interest in your event, even if it is for a great cause.
We have been to several of these and this year was probably the worst. The majority of the audience voted for a totally different team. The 2 teams that went to the finale were in our opinion not as good and hardly had any props. The other teams had more props, raised significantly more money and did not even place. The judges to us are a joke. This should be a fan vote for sure!!!!! A lot of hard work and energy has gone into this production and it was very disappointing. Once again, no more judges!!! They were terrible. Did not know how or what there vote was based on. Start the show earlier also. It was nearly 11 pm before the show ended. Very disappointed.
We went to support the owners of the bakery we work at and it was amazing. Every performance was great and the cause was even more amazing. 10/10 we will be going back next year!
Jay Jeffrey’s continues to be THE best MC that has hosted, his charisma & kindness are contagious. Things felt off and different this year, not as enjoyable as the past contests. The venue was acceptable (poorly laid out) however, The Miller is very special and is an amazing venue that carries the ambiance and character to make events more special. While fundraising is the goal, as a community we should support such historic and nostalgic venues and help them prosper as well, they will perish if they aren’t supported by local events; Would more than love to see it return there!
Event great. Cause great. Venue Great!!!! This event every year is one of our favorites.
This was not the best one I have attended! The acts were fine, but the audience noise during some of the acts was so loud one could not hear the acts! In the future the emcee likely should announce that cheering be done following speeches and acts unless the emcee instructs folks to make noise. Venue was great.
