Music of Michael Jackson
by MeowMama on 4/25/11Chrysler Hall - NorfolkMy husband and I didn't know what to expect from this show as we had never heard of it before nor the main performer. We are both big fans of Michael Jackson's music, however, so we decided to take the risk. It was so totally worth it. From start to finish we were highly entertained by James Delisco as he performed many of Jackson's more well known selections. Not that he looked anything like Michael Jackson to us, but his voice and mannerisms, complete with moonwalking were as close to Jackson's as we've seen in a long time. From the high notes of "Ben" to the somber vocal of "Out of my Life," Delisco managed to make each song his own while at the same time giving the audience a way to imagine that Michael Jackson is still alive and well. Given the opportunity, we'd definitely see this show again. And hats off the the Virginia Symphony! Combined with the voice of Delisco, these performers came together in a perfect combination.
