The longest-running comedy club in New York, Comedy Cellar is where audiences discovered such giants of stand-up as Ray Romano, Chris Rock, Jon Stewart, Amy Schumer and Dave Chappelle. Now fans in Las Vegas can discover more future stars â and catch established favorites, too â at the Comedy Cellar's thrilling new West Coast location.
Opened in 2018 as a 300-seat venue at Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, the Comedy Cellar offers the same intimacy and energy as the fabled club that inspired it. In creating the new outpost with Caesars Entertainment, Comedy Cellar owner Noam Dworman has replicated many of the original's most distinctive features as well as its special atmosphere.
Comedy fans can expect to see great sets by veterans of the Cellar's two New York clubs along with the best in new national and international talent. They may also be lucky enough to be there for spontaneous performances by comedy superstars playing elsewhere on the Strip.
Comedy Cellar (Las Vegas) Background
The Comedy Cellar's history began in 1982, when comic Bill Grundfest established a new club underneath a Greenwich Village restaurant. With a more intimate feel than many of New York's comedy hotspots, the Comedy Cellar soon became not just a space for the scene's best new talents to perform but a place where they wanted to hang out, too.
The roster of comedians who became regulars at the Cellar includes Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Jon Stewart and Aziz Ansari. It's where Jerry Seinfeld chose to shoot much of his 2002 documentary Comedian. It can also be seen in stage segments in Louis C.K.'s series Louie and Chris Rock's film Top Five.
In 2018, Noam Dworman â who inherited the Cellar from his father Manny â opened the club's first West Coast location in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. Closely replicating the original's look and atmosphere, it has become the place to see the country's funniest performers in the kind of warm, intimate room that comedians themselves love best.
Well we ordered 3 tickets đ« in the supposed vip section and instead we were seated off the stage in a section where we could see the acts directly in a better position Also for 3 mixed drinks it was $65 Nothing special but definitely up charged Of The 3 acts that came up The 1st comedian was very dry and wasnât very funny at all
We had a blast at the show! It was great to hear fresh material from up and coming comedians. Can't wait to see them all continue their careers!
The Rio is currently a dump, but the comedy Celler is pure gold. I wild go ASAP. We had 5 great comedians and a MC. Very funny and the drinks were very good as well. GO!
I was feeling a little hesitant as our cab was pulling up to the Rio and the marquee lights were off and it looked very sparsely populated. But once we got into the club we found a lively Monday night crowd and some wicked funny comedians. My stomach hurt and only one didn't make me laugh (just not my style). Highly recommended.
Laughed sooo hard! This was the highlight to our trip to Vegas, highly recommend!

They had six comedians the night we went and five of the six were amazing! One was so funny I literally wanted him to stop because I was crying so hard and I thought I might throw up. I have never laughed so hard at a comedy club in my life. Iâd give this experience 10 stars if I could. Mark Cohen is a fabulous host!
The best show we saw in Vegas. The comics were all top-notch. Would definitely go again and recommend to friends.
We enjoyed all 5 comedians!!! We had seen the MC before in California!!! It was refreshing to see a woman standing up there doing her thing!!! She may have been funnier than the men!!! Everyone keep us laughing!!! The only down side was our seats, though close were to the side of the stage. Next I will definitely get seat located more in the center of the stage!!! Absolutely a must see!!! Laughter is good for the soul!!!!
Me and my dad went to this after Penn and teller was cancelled. It was really funny and we had a great laugh. We both would go again if we were ever in Vegas again.
Henderson locals here but first time at Comedy Cellar. A friend has visited a couple of times and highly recommended! Emcee Mark Cohen was funny and entertaining! The standup comics were funny and had everyone laughing. Tom Cotter had us all in stitches as the last comedian! The show was fun and did not feel like it was rushed! Tickets are affordable and we hope to return soon!
Comedians were funny and well paced. However, the seating is horrendous. Bad angles, uncomfortable chairs and we were VIP. Also, it would be better if they offered some appetizers. Otherwise, $25 per person was a good price for the experience.

I've been to most of the Vegas comedy clubs over the past 10 years. Comedy Cellar (Rio) stands out from the rest. The talent they bring to the stage is consistently better quality than the other clubs in my opinion. The other club that is high quality is Brad Garrett's clib on the MGM
The Comedians were pros! So entertaining... Love the service and the venue. Would highly recommend!
3 of the 4 comedians went for cheap laughs. Their content wasnât smart or original. There are so many options in Vegas and I chose poorly.
Great night out. All staff very friendly and helpful. Great lineup of comedians and compĂšre. Definitely one to do in Vegas.
