School of Rock on tour - The ultimate field trip!
Andrew Lloyd Weber's high-octane Broadway & West End hit will soon be rocking up to a city near you! Based on the hit film, this irresistible new musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band.

Such an enjoyable afternoon for me, my son, daughter-in-law and eight year old grandson. We had the best time watching all the talent on that stage!! Top notch performance for everyone! Amazing!
It's the Broadway version of the movie with Jack Black, but here the kids totally steal the show! High octane energy and some catchy tunes from Andrew Lloyd Weber make for a very entertaining evening. The fact that the children are playing their own instruments just adds to the excitement. I can't say it's my favorite show, but if you liked the movie this won't disappoint.
The show was amazing. The actors had so much heart and so much talent. Every song and scene was amazing to watch. Even up in the balcony seating, I was able to see so much of what was going on. The fun opportunities were cool and I loved seeing so many theater-goers with colored hair! During intermission, the line for the women's restroom was very long, which was to be expected, but still annoying. Thankfully, the theater did a great job of keeping the line moving and the intermission was long enough for everyone to go through to the restroom. The talkback after the show was really cool and I learned a lot. I was expecting it to be with adult actors, but was pleasantly surprised to get to hear and learn from the kids! Overall, a great time!
We saw several performances and honestly enjoyed each one more every time we saw it.
Great show. Kids wonderful. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was that they excluded my favorite song from the movie - It’s a Long Way to the Top if You Want to Rock and Roll.
Birthday present for 14 your old Nephew. Great Show. High Energy. Music was really good. Visually high value, and was pretty fun. Has a great time
The cast of children were phenominal. Was disappointrd that the Dewey character was so mean, instead of just a grifter. Something about the sound system made it nearly impossible to understand the lyrics. I understand that lighting was used to create a 'live concert' vibe, but I really disliked the strobe lights being directed at me. My first time to that theater. It was beautiful, and well run, with helpful staff.
Loved the movie but I really, really loved this live performance. The audience obviously loved too. The actors played so well to the audience. I highly recommend it.
Extremely entertaining! Entertaining for both children and parents.
