    America America

by LarryP9 on 2/5/18McAllen Performing Arts Center - McAllen

Highlite was the Mariachi performance. Audience reaction was evident. Disappointed to see many empty seats. Ushers directed us to the wrong seats which provided an embarrassment.

Beautiful music. Great singing--great place to host events. Easy parking. I would highly recommend any performance at this venue. Whole family really enjoyed the performance. Am looking forward to more shows like this.

    Amazing experience!!

by Ubilin on 11/20/17McAllen Performing Arts Center - McAllen

Everything about this concert was truly memorable, took my 8 year old that also enjoyed the concert, the program was excellent and the coordination of Orchestra and Coral was spectacular. It’s definitely something to experience in person. The McAllen Performance Arts is beautiful and the acustics are just perfect.

    First row, horrible feedback

by McAllenite7 on 3/24/17McAllen Performing Arts Center - McAllen

It was difficult to understand what the Conductor and Emcee were saying as there was horrible feedback and speakers directly in front of us on the stage were not functioning. We would've loved to see more of an Opera performance as there was only 1 stunning Opera song performed.

    Awesome show!!!

by Wickedwolf33 on 2/7/17McAllen Performing Arts Center - McAllen

It was my first time at a symphony and it was an awesome experience. Hearing Star Wars and Star Trek music live blows away what you hear in the movies and shows. I will definitely go back for any future performances of The Valley Symphony Orchestra.

    VSO Concert February 4 , 2017

by Escopeta on 2/6/17McAllen Performing Arts Center - McAllen

The first concert for the Valley Symphony Orchestra was excellent and the new McAllen Performing Arts Center was a showcase for the event. Acoustics were outstanding for the facility. Crisp clear sound and no echo. VSO should have a home here.

very enjoyable concert...conductor is a very loquacious fella...the mariachi group joining the symphony was a treat for us northerners now southerners.

What a wonderful group of musicians here in the RGV! An incredible treat for the senses right here in our own community. Please support the arts to keep these hard-working and talented musicians employed and playing!

I attended the Valley Symphony concert and was very pleased with the performance. There were only a couple of minor complaints I would make. We had a about four teenagers sitting behind us and they started out wanting to carry on a conversation during the performance. I suggested they leave if they wanted to talk and to their credit they apologized and there was no further disturbance. Perhaps some guidelines could be included in the program. Perhaps there was and I did not see it. Also, the concert started late primarily because of people coming in late. Perhaps if the doors were closed at the start time and people could not enter until a break in the program they would soon get the idea and get there on time. It really is not fair to make the majority of the audience pay for the tardiness of a few. This is not an unusual practice at many concerts.
