Admittedly I did not recognize any music selections but was amazed how boring it was. I believe even the conductor was not too happy with the selections. He usually comments on the pieces. Romantic reflections was YAWN CITY! OLD 1970S STUFF. My fault though. If I don't recognize the music I should not go! I hope they actually put Christmas music in Touch of Frost next year.
Show started late To much talking Disorganized … the whole place feels dirty
Paid $212.00 for two $43.00 tickets. Booked online at what I thought was Ticketmaster. Got put through to a resales. Got ripped off.
Once in a while I'd like to hear some actual Christmas classics. Not "Mariah Carey"music. Thankfully Mariah wasn't in this year's program.
The VSO concert was amazing. Great sound and atmosphere. Such amazing talent here in the RGV and it makes me proud that we live in a place with such a wonderful range of musical talent. Sat in the front row and, honestly, we were too close to the action and we weren’t able to see the whole stage. Next time I’ll get tickets that are a few rows back so we can see better.
This was a gift for my significant other and I, we bonded over their lack of Harry Potter knowledge and it was something truly magical to see the music played right in front of us, I will not lie it did indeed bring a tear to both our eyes. It truly felt like reaching back into a childhood memory hearing those notes for the first time, I would recommend if you have the chance please go see this performance.

What beautiful sounds are made when a team comes together for 1 purpose. And thats exactly what this orchestra sounded like. It was delightful. Our party of 4 had an amazing night listening to you all give us your best. Thank you for your hard work. Can’t wait for next time. It had been years since we last attended but it certainly will it be the last. Loved it!
I love the collaboration between the Mariachi and the Orchestra! It was wonderful. I would love to see more shows like that. <3
