My son is a HUGE fan. I bought these tickets for his 26th birthday. I don't think I could have done better. He was SO happy and enjoyed this immensely. He came home raving about the concert and the artist.
Unknown & the band were great - loved the show! Only complaint is that I did not realize the show was in the Taft ballroom, which has no seating (other than a couple of couches that would only seat about 10 people).
Great show,Unknown Hinson was fantastic ! The venue on the other hand was hot as blazes,no air conditioning..felt sorry for Hinson as he gave it his all in the heat, and you could tell at the meet and greet after the show he was very wore out. Also, the starting time on the ticket and all the bars flyers stated 7:00 pm,Hinson didnt start till 10:15 with no opening act on a Thursday night. To Hinsons credit, his web site stated 9:00 with a break in the middle of the set...i left the bar at 1:15 am with a 1 1/2 hr drive home.
The self proclaimed "Chart-Toppin' King of Country & Western Troubadours Ordained." Just ordered tickets to see Unknown Hinson for the third time and can't wait. If he wanted, Unknown could pack some of the biggest venues in the country - with the right marketing plan. Thankfully, he seems to like the small, loud, and smokey (unless there's a ban in your town) venues, packed hip to hip and up to the rafters with an adoring audience, and that's why we love him. Also, Unknown would never let a big record company yahoo tell him how to make music! In a big place, fans wouldn't have the privilege to hang out after the show to drink party liquor and get autographs, pictures, and words of wisdom from the Man himself. Put it on your Bucket List not to miss one of the best showmen and musicians around. As Early Cuyler would say, "Whoooo!"
Unknown Hinson is an incredibly talented and very funny person, plus he really takes time to thank his fans in person after every show! I'll be sure to see him every time he plays in my area!
Unknown Hinson is amazing ,his songs are not only entertaining but the talent is incredible!!! We will see him every time he is in town.
I had never heard the opening band, but they were fantastic. I regretted not bringing more money to pick up an album of theirs. The sirens were just as entertaining as they were last year. Great to see some rubenesque women get up their and put on a great show. And lastly, Unknown Hinson brings it all back home with a non-stop set of his hits.
UNKNOWN ROCKED MY FACE OFF. Got plenty of Squid Koozies.
This guys gives it hell every time he goes out. The band is tight. His guitar playing is amazing and the lyrics will kill you. He reaches young and old alike. I do like to see him in samller venues like the EARL. H ewill be in Ashevillefor Halloween at the Grey Eagle.
I expected Unknown Hinson to be a pretty good guitar player, and for there to be some pretty tongue-in-cheek jokes and inuendos thrown in for good measure. But this show really impressed. He plays with a great deal of skill, and his ability in working the crowd is quite good. What truly impresed me is his soloing, which he works into most songs. He can shred. Take a drank, be somebody!
