Not only was the weather fantastic, NIU clobbered UMass to remain undefeated. Unfortunately the stadium was mostly empty. Either everyone went to the Red Sox parade or UMass fans are giving up on their football team.
Gillette is a great venue and enjoyed the day. Tailgate, football, and the marching band. Sam the Minuteman even made his rounds.
Game itself was okay, for once we didn't loose ;) Lots of funny people among the audience!!
We had a BLAST!! It was our first time at Gillette and it was WOW!! My wife surprised me on our anniversay with tickets to the game. It was fun to talk with the team and other alumni from UMASS. The Band was terrific, we stayed after the game to watch their performance. It was FABULOUS! Ticketmaster made it simple for my wife to obtain the tickets and other than the loss of the game, it couldn't have been a more enjoyable time.
So they aren't a great team. The games are fun, and the band is awesome!
Great seats for an inexpensive college football game. UMASS hung in there at 10-7 for three quarters. The crowds are improving vastly over last season. Get the word out- this is a terrific deal for college football and sports fans in general.

The seats were great for the price.the venue being used as the home field for umass us a plus. Lots of maine fans loved it.
Horrible setup - UMass seated from endzone to endzone - Maine fans on opposite side pushed from endzone to thirty yard line with rest of the seats blocked off. Only one small kiosk for refreshments on visitors side as well for several thousand Maine fans.
Waste of time. Boring. Won't be back fo some time, if ever. Not even a competitive game. False advertising as UMass football is getting worse, not better.
The UMASS Minuteman (Power and Class of New England) Marching Band were fantastic, as usual. If you have never seen them, you MUST go to a UMASS football game. These kids work very hard - they sing, they dance, they play instruments and yes, they march. Only downfall is that you do have to sit through a football game between the pre-game show, half time show and the post game show. Go to see the band, you won't be disappointed - maybe in the football game, but not in the marching band.

UMASS football is struggling in new league but atmosphere is fun AND Band is unbelievable. A lot of fun
I used to be a season ticket holder for Minuteman football. This game, the last "home" game of the season, was the first I've been to this year. The game was OK, although UMass lost badly. It was senior day and the band show was great as always. However, $30 a seat for tickets plus $12 beer made it a very expensive day out.
Good pregame for kids. Club seats were fun. Can't swing the prices for a patriots game so I went to support Umass instead. Great time. My kids loved it.
Good economical way to bring family to the "razor" without mortgaging your house! Same food as Pats game cost a family of four about $150 including free parking, seats lower level, food and drinks.
Seats were good. Game was interesting. Home team should have won. The zebras determined the outcome as usual.
Great day, over 3000 musicians showed up for the half time performance. The kids were fantastic!
Great to see umass at gillette! Too bad they slept in the second half ;)
The UMass football team has a great deal of work to do but the Marching Band is the best!!
