University of Central Florida Knights Football History
Varsity football didn't come to UCF until 1979, when the Knights joined the NCAA's Division III. By 1996, UCF ascended to the NCAA's top division, becoming the first program to play at all levels of college football. In short order, the Black and Gold became an unlikely national contender. In 2004, under new coach George O'Leary, UCF went 0-11. Over his next 10 seasons in Orlando, the team went to seven bowl games, including a 52-42 Fiesta Bowl victory over Baylor, which capped a 2013 season in which the Knights went 12-1 and undefeated in conference play.
In 2017, under coach Scott Frost, the Knights swept the regular season, won their conference championship game over Memphis in double overtime, and beat No. 7 Auburn in the Peach Bowl, 34-27 — the first undefeated season in school history. The following year, the Knights went 12-1, their only loss coming against LSU in the Fiesta Bowl. That game ended UCF's 25-game winning streak. The Knights have made a bowl game in nearly every season under head coach Gus Malzahn up until his final season in 2024.

University of Central Florida Knights at Acrisure Bounce House
Located just northeast of downtown Orlando, Acrisure Bounce House has been the Knights' home since 2007. It quickly earned the nickname "The Bounce House" thanks to vibrations produced whenever fans jumped in unison, and the title was officially added to the stadium’s official name in 2025. Come out a couple hours before kickoff and greet the players during their Knight Walk from IOA Plaza. Ninety minutes before kickoff, you can join the marching band and the spirit team near Knights Plaza for the fan march to the stadium. And when "Kernkraft 400” by Zombie Nation comes on the speakers at the game, be sure to bounce.

Fun For The Family
by Sashie1 on 10/25/10Bright House Networks Stadium - OrlandoRating: 4 out of 5The stadium was clean. Our family had a great time at the game. The snacks were good. Enjoyed all of the entertainment. Tickets are very expensive. Our family can only afford to go once a year, due to the prices. We have a family of 4. Where to enter to get to Bright House Stadium and General Parking is not well signed, off of Alafaya. Somewhat confusing for those that don't go that often and have never been to the new stadium.
Football rocks
by pam4art on 10/25/10Bright House Networks Stadium - OrlandoRating: 4 out of 5I am from Holland and it was my 1st live football game ever. It was a great experience that started outside the stadium, the pre game fun in the stadium with a knight on a horse, paratroopers, the band and cheerleaders. Too bad the difference between the teams was so big, but good for the Knights!

Terrible, the campus staff threw away all my tail gate gear. I lost 300 worth of stuff and they did it at Kickoff. It was NOT stolen by students, a crew came threw at kick off, tore down anything standing, took chairs, grills, tents, and I have a strong feeling they did not throw it away. UCF did nothing to protect the thousands of locals they invited to this event!
Go Knights football!

Knights - NCState game
by KnightsBULLS on 9/14/10Bright House Networks Stadium - OrlandoRating: 4 out of 5Having an on-campus stadium is fun, but Bright House has to spring for another scoreboard and screen. Need to sell more seat cushions. Very impressed with how UCF cleaned up the mall. I'm used to sitting in Raymond James Stadium (USF) with a nice seat and a cold beer. Based on the UCF crowd and furure of this University, UCF will need to expand in the years to come.
Almost tied the game.
by TomKnight on 9/13/10Bright House Networks Stadium - OrlandoRating: 4 out of 5All the college students that were in good spirits before they got in the stadium. Kept their spirits high through the whole game, even when we were down by 21 points. GO Knights! Everybody seemed to keep to themselves. A few scattered wolfpak fans who kept standing all the time were heckled at a few times (to sit down). Seating was quick and plenty of ushers to direct people to their seats. Plenty of G-Men(security) to go around. Maybe if we keep collecting enough donations we could get a JUMBO SCREEN on the other end zone so you don't have to turn around for instant replays. I would also like to say SHAME on those of you who left the game early when the wolfpak got their 4th touchdown. Because you missed out on seeing the Knights score a couple touchdowns, and seeing how good they are. BLACK_GOLD BLACK_GOLD.
brighthouse should have done better
by justaparent on 9/13/10Bright House Networks Stadium - OrlandoRating: 2 out of 5well, this was our first time at a home UCF football game and found the facilities really lacking compared to many other Div.1 stadiums. Everything from distant parking to climbing the stairs/bleachers , to the uncomfortable seating . . . it honestly feels like a glorified high school premises. The University has so much to offer , and yet , this is what is put forth for their football team. Wow . . . no thanks!
ucf football game
by Anonymous on 9/13/10Bright House Networks Stadium - OrlandoRating: 1 out of 5Terrible no parking close to the game. I walked about a 1 1/2 miles to get to the stadium. No shuttle buses. College students that worked in the restraunts very rude.

UCF Home Opener - Sept. 4
by TD2001 on 9/7/10Bright House Networks Stadium - OrlandoRating: 4 out of 5The Knights defense didn't have a great first half, but the offense was outstanding. QB Rob Calabrese looked good. O'Leary rotated QBs throughout the day- with Calabrese getting the bulk of the work. Godfrey played about a 1/3 of the game - including most of the 4th quarter. I've heard Godfrey has a great arm, but we didn't get to see much of it because of O'Leary's conservative play calling when he was in there. Brighthouse Network Stadium is a great venue. The fans there were very supportive of the Knights, but I'd say the stadium was half full. THAT'S UNBELIEVABLE WITH UCF BEING THE THIRD LARGEST UNIVERSITY IN THE COUNTRY!!! SHAME ON THE STUDENTS AND OTHER FANS OF UCF FOR NOT SUPPORTING THE KNIGHTS! I strongly recommend going to a night game like this one. Temperatures are high and everyone was sweating for the first 90 minutes until the sunset. A married couple sat in front of me. She complained about it being hot and she asked hubby if they could leave and go to a sports bar. They were gone by halftime. LOL! They made an announcement about the heat and reminded everyone to drink lots of water. Water was $3! Rip off!

UCF Football
by KPRESS on 9/6/10Bright House Networks Stadium - OrlandoRating: 4 out of 5This was an okay program. Took me a while to figure out what GKC was and what it meant to me. Golden Knight Club.I would have liked to know what the asterisk next to it meant on the tickets. Any benefits for us for purchasing these tickets?
UCF Knights finally getting it together!!
by Fierce004 on 11/24/09Bright House Networks Stadium - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5I loved it! Watching the Knights play almost perfect football was a treat and had lower bowl, close to the field seats! Well worth the time, beautiful stadium, before location in East Orlando, and beautiful, cool, sunny day! Eventful!
A Knight To Remember
by MMMMMMk on 11/22/09Bright House Networks Stadium - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5For the last game of the season, it was a great game. I felt bad for Tulane who didn't even get a single touchdown or anything (Final score 49-0). There was a little drama on the field a few times, but for the most part, UCF pulled through and didn't let down their home town. A crowd wave began in the student section and continued on for about 10 rounds or so, everybody's spirits were great. The Marching Knights (band) sounded better towards the end as the excitement grew. Snacks available were delicious! Shaved ice is a must have! Bathrooms were clean even after the end of the game. Overall, the atmosphere and the environment was a great event to be a part of and I'll be sure to come to future games held at the Brighthouse Network Stadium, an easily designed stadium able to handle the UCF Rob Zombie's jumping choreography of UCF fans around.
UNBELIEVABLE UPSET
