About

Tyler Childers is carving his own path in country music. Following the success of his 2017 breakout album Purgatory, the Kentucky-born singer-songwriter has earned 11 career Grammy nominations across folk, Americana, and country categories. Childers' 2025 release, Snipe Hunter, marked his seventh studio album; across the record, he weaves Appalachian storytelling with elements of rock and gospel. Childers remains connected to his Appalachian roots through his Hickman Holler Appalachian Relief Fund, which he established in 2020 with his wife, singer-songwriter Senora May, to bring awareness and financial support to vulnerable communities.

  • Excellent show!

by Katie on 10/28/19Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

My first Tyler Childers show but definitely not my last. The venue (the Paramount) is small enough that it felt intimate but large enough so a lot of fans could attend. The Paramount is a gorgeous old-fashioned theater. The accoustics were good, but the crowd so loudly enthusiastic it was hard to hear Tyler's comments, which is a shame because he's funny as hell. I never knew there were so many TTC fans in Seattle! It was like a Pearl Jam concert...flannel everywhere. :)

  • Great show, tight set, bad sound

    by J. F. on 10/28/19Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 2 out of 5

The band had a really tight set, the crowd was into it and there was a great vibe. The vocal mics were not good at all on the upper mezzanine to the point that there was no way to understand Tyler when he was just speaking, let alone singing. It was frustrating and made the show not worth going to.

  • Tighter than a bull rider’s grip

by Alexandrasteroche on 10/28/19Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

These guys are in the pocket, on the nose, and pushing all the right buttons. They got a formal theatre of 3000 people square dancing in the aisles and singing along almost louder than the speakers, and they didn’t even ask for it, they just played their songs. This was my sixth time seeing him and his band and it’s not growing old yet.

  • Best Concert of My Life

    by A. Sampson on 10/28/19Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

A true experience. Best concert of my life and I’ve overheard many share the exact sentiment. Each member of this band has extreme talent, and “carries their own” throughout the show. Something lost in many bands today. And for the entire audience to know every word, to every song, and stand in front of their seats for the entire show. It says something.

  • Great Venue

by Country Mouse on 10/25/19Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best shows I’ve been to. Love the smaller venues for shows like this, it feels way more personal. Great show!

  • Wiltern sound system

by Stampedeslim on 10/22/19The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5

I was very disappointed in the sound system at the Wiltern theater. The sound system made it difficult to hear the artists clearly and understand the lyrics to the songs. It was not that it was too loud, it was that it was "muddy" and lacked the crispness that I would have expected.

  • Amazing show!!!

    by Rianda7 on 10/21/19Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler put on an amazing show! I must commend all of the staff at the Fox as well: everyone I came in contact with was extremely friendly and helpful. The security check in also made me feel safe. There was a long line for the merch table, but I didn't have to wait too long; the flow was smooth and I got a hoodie in my size! After the show my buddy and I went around to try and see if we could meet Tyler (met his awesome bassist!), and the security out back by the bus, especially Ken, were very friendly and nice so we bought Ken a hot dog and had some good convo through the fence. He knew I'd been waiting outside a while, so when it was his turn to switch to indoor duty, he brought me back dressing room sign (he said they usually just get thrown away).

  • Tyler kills it again

by Andyman on 10/21/19Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler takes the stage and goes full throttle song after song each one better than anybody else is doing right now. Do yourself a favor and catch one of his shows. The Fox in Oakland has to be the best venue in the Bay Area for live music.

  • Amazing

by TomKat on 10/21/19The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

The show was so good. Tyler did an amazing job. The Wiltern was a really cool venue also.

  • Great but rushed

by KD on 10/21/19Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 4 out of 5

Tyler Childers is amazing. My husband and I love his music. We have seen him one time before this show and it was amazing. But this show was rushed. He didn’t finish a song without starting another and he only played for roughly 90 minutes. I understand that’s a lot for a performer but It felt rushed, didn’t feel as enjoyable as last time. I will however buy tickets to see him the next time he comes around though.

  • Excellent concert

by tex on 10/21/19The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Venue was excellent. Old school. Plenty of bars never had more than one person in front of me for a beer. Line for the bath room... always is... every where.... Tyler is a kind of hank Williams in a higher pitch blue grass story teller. Nice different sound.

  • Great show, great theater

by Jay on 10/21/19The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler Childers put on a great show and the Wiltern is a beautiful theater. Ill be catching Tyler again.

  • great voice, great band, great performance

    by c. t. on 10/20/19The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

love watching their jam sessions live on stage, they truly enjoy performing and appreciate the fan support

  • Amazing!

by Kelly on 10/20/19The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

He was absolutely phenomenal. I thought he sounded amazing recorded and it does not do his voice justice. He sounds wayyy better live.

  • Great in concert

    by j. on 10/20/19The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

The sound was great not too much bass. Sounds just like his albums. Will see again

  • LOVE ME SOME TYLER!!

by M. P. on 10/8/19Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - ThackervilleRating: 4 out of 5

Tyler and the band put on a great concert! Nonstop singing for 1.5 hours and it was all awesome! Winstar had the fold out chairs sitting almost on top of each other. Technically two adult sitting next to each other needed another 1/2 seat next to ya. So it was super tight quarters in that aspect. I stood up off and on but some people sat the entire time.

  • Tyler Childers Review

by Bagwhanbundy on 10/8/19Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - ThackervilleRating: 4 out of 5

Fayetteville Ar -downtown square venue. Standing only - meh. Could’ve have been a bit better sound quality but band was tight, Tyler was brilliant and the music was great. Don’t think we’ll get to see him in these smaller venues much longer as he’s getting popular PDQ. His encore setup is different than the “norm” and let’s hope he doesn’t get burned out during this transition phase - if he keeps it real and honest he’ll be alright.

  • Might be the largest, but it was not the best.

by A. C. on 10/8/19Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - ThackervilleRating: 2 out of 5

This was my first time at winstar. The concert was great, but the venue and casino were sub par at best. Waited 20 min plus at every bar to get served. Only actual bar was Toby kieths? Really? If I go back I will come for the concert and head back to the city right after. No chance I’ll stay around to go to the casino itself.

  • Loved Tyler at Windstar

by L. P. on 10/8/19Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - ThackervilleRating: 5 out of 5

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 GREAT SHOW!!! SO GLAD I WAS ABLE TO SEE HIM FOR US NORTH TEXANS.

  • Excited to be a part of the SOLD OUT crowd!

by LizardskinWife on 10/8/19Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - ThackervilleRating: 5 out of 5

Our first time going to see Tyler Childers and he definitely did not disappoint. Loved his voice, his songs, his stories and sense of humor. Will continue to follow him and hopefully go see him in concert again soon! We also enjoyed the Global Event Center at WinStar. Although we had seats toward the front which were awesome, I had read reviews that the seats in the back were not worth buying due to the view. I thought every seat in the venue had great views ... even from the back row. Keep it up Tyler Childers & WinStar!
