About

Tyler Childers is carving his own path in country music. Following the success of his 2017 breakout album Purgatory, the Kentucky-born singer-songwriter has earned 11 career Grammy nominations across folk, Americana, and country categories. Childers' 2025 release, Snipe Hunter, marked his seventh studio album; across the record, he weaves Appalachian storytelling with elements of rock and gospel. Childers remains connected to his Appalachian roots through his Hickman Holler Appalachian Relief Fund, which he established in 2020 with his wife, singer-songwriter Senora May, to bring awareness and financial support to vulnerable communities.

  • Awesome Show

by KP on 10/8/19Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - ThackervilleRating: 5 out of 5

Great show! Had a good time and enjoyed the venue. Only complaint is how long the lines were for merchandise and drinks. We stood in line for 30 mins waiting to get a beverage and missed the first 2 songs.

  • Great event center

Great concert. If you get the chance to see Tyler live he is one of the few singers that is even better than live.

  • Tyler Childers brought it

He played for almost 2 hours. It wasa very tight set. The crowd was really into it.

We love Tyler and the boys. We have been followers for several years and traveled to many venues to see him. I was disappointed in the over sale for venue. It was WAY to crowded. We could not even see the stage. We didn't let it cloud a good time and will always respect and follow our favorite musicians, but it is just disappointing when you can't see the musicians.

  • Pure joy

    by J.Fro on 3/31/19Madison Theater - CovingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This was hands down one of the finest nights of music I’ve experienced in my life. This fella is a true artist, and the band is badass. Take all my $$$ #EBT

  • Madison Theater - Covington, KY

    by JP5 on 3/31/19Madison Theater - CovingtonRating: 3 out of 5

Venue is horrible. I had been there once before and left before the show started because it was overcrowded and I couldn’t see the stage. Same crowd issues this time but I stayed for the show because I love Tyler’s Music. Tyler was awesome but his show was short. He played for about 90 minutes, no encore. I know he usually doesn’t do an encore and am fine with that but expect a little more from him during the show before he exits abruptly.

  • Tyler Childers at Madison Theater

by KathyP on 3/30/19Madison Theater - CovingtonRating: 4 out of 5

As usual a great concert. Excellent band, lyrics that reflect some his life experiences in SE KY. Country music for adults. Look him up, buy his music, see him in concert. PS love his voice.

  • Great shows

by Franchise on 3/30/19Madison Theater - CovingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Saw him 2 of 3 nights he was in Cincinnati. All I can say is I wish I could have gone the third night. Unbelievable live performer who I cannot wait to see again.

  • Tyler Childers at the Madison

    by Bob C on 3/28/19Madison Theater - CovingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome show by Tyler Childers and the opening acts. The sound was great. The only negative was the venue. Sight lines are horrible and spent most of the night trying to get a glimpse of the stage. If you’re going to a show at the Madison I’d suggest getting there early or bring stilts. I’ll just pass in the future and look for alternate venues to see bands. It would be better to drive than attend a show at the Madison. The 5 stars are for Tyler. The venue would get a one star.

  • Good show!

by J. B. on 1/4/19The Louisville Palace presented by Cricket Wireless - LouisvilleRating: 4 out of 5

A few songs I was shocked he did not play...but it was a really good show. He played solid for two hours. Once he left the stage the show was over. The fans lingered, and he did come out just to tell the fans he was not going to play anymore but he wanted to thank the crowd so much for their support and thanks for coming to his show. It was nice. But I was bummed he didn’t play “grindstone”. Worth the money and would go see him again.

  • Incredible show!

by Nicole on 1/2/19The Louisville Palace presented by Cricket Wireless - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

His voice is exactly how it sounds on my CD's! He sings and plays with emotion. His band is also amazing. Very unique sound. His stories in between songs make you laugh. Tyler Childers is definitely worth checking out. Plus, his work in charity is also so heart warming. He is just an all around good guy with a huge talent. Very impressive. I look forward to see more from him in the future!

by M. S. on 1/2/19The Louisville Palace presented by Cricket Wireless - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I had purchased these tickets from a friend that bought them and could not go. My boyfriend and I love Tyler and we were so excited because it was sold out and we got tickets. We had no idea they were wheelchair seats until we got there which we were kinda bummed about at first but they were still seats and we could still see Tyler and we had a really great time. The palace is beautiful, the security was very helpful in finding our seats, and the show was great of course.

Great show. Just wish people did not feel compelled to have loud conversations during the concert.

  • Tyler Childers is the best thing in music today

by smc66 on 10/22/18The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler Childers is going to explode on the country music scene in the next couple of years. His songwriting and performing are throwbacks to some of the great singer-songwriters in Country Music history.

  • What a show

by Heyyheyyitsb on 10/22/18The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler! You might think that no one knows your name, but we drove 3.5 hours to see you play from the states! Great show! Keep up the awesome music!

  • Tyler Childers lived up to the hype

by Mike1932 on 4/3/18U.S. Cellular Stage at the Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This was a great show and the Bijou is always an amazing place to see a show. They know how to cater to different audiences and I can’t wait to see the next show here!

Awesome venue. Tyler was great. Will see again soon.

  • by Mekayla9569 on 3/5/18STAGE AE - PittsburghRating: 4 out of 5

Overall it was a good performance kind of disappointed he didn’t sing more songs then he did and most of all we went to listen to one of his popular songs called nose on the grindstone and he didn’t even sing it!

  • It was okay

    by TheLegendary87 on 3/5/18STAGE AE - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler Childers was okay. Did not play an encore nor some of his best songs including "Nose on the Grindstone." Very abrupt ending to the show; he simply walked off stage with the band and the lights came on. That's it; it was over.
