About

Tyler Childers is carving his own path in country music. Following the success of his 2017 breakout album Purgatory, the Kentucky-born singer-songwriter has earned 11 career Grammy nominations across folk, Americana, and country categories. Childers' 2025 release, Snipe Hunter, marked his seventh studio album; across the record, he weaves Appalachian storytelling with elements of rock and gospel. Childers remains connected to his Appalachian roots through his Hickman Holler Appalachian Relief Fund, which he established in 2020 with his wife, singer-songwriter Senora May, to bring awareness and financial support to vulnerable communities.

  • Capacity

by Reen on 12/10/19The Fillmore Detroit presented by Cricket Wireless - DetroitRating: 3 out of 5

Far too many tickets were sold for general admission. Such tight quarters made people hostile and multiple fights broke out. Security took too long to get to the fighting. No one was kicked out for the fighting. With all the commotion I couldn’t hear Tyler Childers for 1/2 of the concert. This has nothing to do with Tyler Childers himself because I’ve seen him multiple times and he always puts on a great show and sounds fantastic, but I absolutely hate the Fillmore and always have a poor experience there.

  • Amazing

by Audi on 12/9/19Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

The venue gave us more of a personal experience. Tyler was better than expected

  • Childers is the Best

by BT on 12/9/19The Fillmore Detroit presented by Cricket Wireless - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Great venue and amazing show. Please bring Tyler back!

  • Good and Bad

by Phil on 12/9/19The Fillmore Detroit presented by Cricket Wireless - DetroitRating: 2 out of 5

Tyler and the band were great, however, the venue was over-sold for a general admission show. No seats available and no standing was allowed. We had to keep walking around the entire show. Poor planning

  • One of my favorite shows ever!

by Fetko on 12/8/19Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Wow what an artist this guy is! The band was rocking out too. Couldn’t have imagined a better show!

  • Tyler Childers is Awesome!

by Jorgofthejungl on 12/8/19Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler is always a great show and the song set is always different. Tyler is truly a Real artist who stays true to his roots. Every song he sings sounds as great as the recording if not better. The Egyptian room is a very cool venue with comfortable seating and a historic feel. The alcohol prices are reasonable and they even have some food before the show.

  • Sound

by LukasFan on 12/8/19Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 3 out of 5

The sound for this show was bad. Feedback on the opening song. It appeared they turned his vocals down to remedy which meant you could not hear him very well. Especially when he was talking to the crowd. We sat in the 4 row and the sound sucked. Really disappointed.

  • Great time

by Brooke on 12/8/19Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Venue was small. Which was great! Seating is tight. We stood the whole time so it worked out!

  • Amazing

by Emily on 12/8/19Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

one of the most exciting and energetic concerts that we have been to!

  • Extraordinary

    by Cmike92 on 11/5/19Stifel Theatre - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Ordering tickets was so easy using the Ticketmaster App. The concert was fantastic at the stifle theatre. Definitely recommend and plan on attending the next time he is in town!!

  • Better than the album!

by Jonalsop on 11/4/19Madison Theater - CovingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This guy has everyone singing his songs and his voice is as amazing as any recording I have ever heard!

  • Not the same Tyler

    by M. on 11/4/19Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 2 out of 5

We saw Tyler in Texas and it was amazing. When we saw him at this even he wasn’t the same. Not the original Tyler we know and love. We were not very happy with his performance even though we drove over 2 hours to see him we left early. We’re hoping his next show with Sturgil will be like his original self because I really don’t want to be dissapointed again.

  • Pupils Wider Than Backhole Tires!

by Dragin on 11/3/19The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Always a great time with Tyler Childers & The Food Stamps, Especially at the Pageant!

  • Tyler was great, The Pageant was not

    by PGF314 on 11/2/19The Pageant - St LouisRating: 4 out of 5

For some reason, this venue has decided that people no longer need to sit unless they wanna pay a premium and be in the balcony. At the minimum, there used to be stools along the back wall of each section, now everyone is forced to stand

  • Best live show ever

    by Jake1221 on 11/2/19The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Never thought he would sound even better in person! Unbelievable concert!

  • Getting too packed for the venue

by GypsyCowgirl on 11/2/19The Pageant - St LouisRating: 4 out of 5

This was my 3rd time seeing Tyler Childers. He was still amazing! He is getting to be better known now. That means the place was packed. Maybe needs a bigger venue than the Pageant at this point? Made it tough to get drinks. Many people were extremely rude, so it made it hard to find anywhere to stand at all if you left a spot for bathroom or drink.

  • If the sound was good

by TC on 11/2/19The Pageant - St LouisRating: 3 out of 5

Tyler is such a great singer and guitarist, it’s hard to understand how the sound mix was so horrible at his show at the Pageant in StL. The bass was overwhelming all other musicians in the band. Tyler’s guitar could hardly be heard throughout the show with exception of the few songs he performed without the band. His vocal mic was distorted as well somehow through the sound board when talking to the audience throughout the night. I would certainly go see Tyler again just because he is so darn good! His sound crew did him a great disservice that night

  • Great date night

by Britt on 11/2/19The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler Childers never disappoints. Had a great time out. Can’t wait to go see him again!
