About

Tyler Childers is carving his own path in country music. Following the success of his 2017 breakout album Purgatory, the Kentucky-born singer-songwriter has earned 11 career Grammy nominations across folk, Americana, and country categories. Childers' 2025 release, Snipe Hunter, marked his seventh studio album; across the record, he weaves Appalachian storytelling with elements of rock and gospel. Childers remains connected to his Appalachian roots through his Hickman Holler Appalachian Relief Fund, which he established in 2020 with his wife, singer-songwriter Senora May, to bring awareness and financial support to vulnerable communities.

  • Amazing Show

by Hayley Lovitt on 12/27/19Tabernacle presented by Cricket Wireless - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Best show I’ve ever been to. Tyler and his band were phenomenal and the entire house had the best energy. He has some great fans.

  • Childers @ the Church

by Kornfed on 12/26/19Tabernacle presented by Cricket Wireless - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler Childers is at his best and to see him at the Tabernacle was amazing. In my opinion the Tabernacle is the best bang for your buck in Atlanta

  • Amazing show ! General Admission to full !

by F.Bradford on 12/26/19Tabernacle presented by Cricket Wireless - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Tyler Childers was amazing , the sound was amazing . The general admission standing room was so full you couldn’t find your friends and definitely could not dance at all. It was really unfortunate having to constantly watch out for people pushing their way thru the crowd that was packed in like sardines .

  • Gat Dayum

by Dixon Cider on 12/25/19Tabernacle presented by Cricket Wireless - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

My guy killed it. Played all the hits and extended a lot of the songs to jam out with the band. His voice sounds the same live.

  • What a show!

by Googe on 12/25/19Tabernacle presented by Cricket Wireless - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler Childers is a wonderful talent and great guy. Glad this guy has made it. Everyone knew the words to the songs and sang right along with him. See this guy!

  • Best show of the year

by Todd L. on 12/25/19Tabernacle presented by Cricket Wireless - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Went both nights. Saturday night was rowdy. Sunday night a bit more laid-back. Music was flawless. The Tabernacle is a great venue. Had a ball.

  • Miss the old days

by Mh on 12/24/19Tabernacle presented by Cricket Wireless - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

The show was fantastic, but I miss the old days when it was just a group of guys singing, having fun, and telling stories/jokes. I can’t help but blame Sony for this. Everything sounds so polished now.

  • TTC & The Food Stamps

by A. P. on 12/24/19Tabernacle presented by Cricket Wireless - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

venue was beautiful. floor was crowded but to be expected. i went to both Atlanta shows and the music was incredible!!!! 3rd & 4th time seeing them and can't wait to see them again!!!

  • Band was great, crowd/venue not so great

by Stephf54 on 12/23/19The Fillmore Charlotte presented by Cricket Wireless - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

This was my 3rd time seeing Tyler Childers & the Food Stamps in 2 months. They sounded great and had an awesome set list, 5 stars. The Fillmore Charlotte gets 2 stars. They oversold for capacity and it was very uncomfortably overcrowded. The usual yelling drunks were screaming in my ear over Tyler all night but you couldn’t move or you’d be stuck at the very back of the bus behind the 7 foot tall guys in front🙄. 2 of our friends left during the opening act and didn’t bother coming back in because of the stifling crowd. This will be our last time at the Fillmore. We’ll venture out of town for Tyler Childers next time!

  • Can of sardines

by Linds on 12/22/19The Fillmore Charlotte presented by Cricket Wireless - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I went to the Tyler Childers concert. He was amazing live! We love his music. The chick in front of him was terrible but we were glad someone else was still playing bc the line to get into the filmore was crazy! I think they triple oversold these tickets. Way to many people for the room. Fire code? Security was thorough, I assumed that was the reason for the long line, I was definitely ok with. The bathrooms were very clean! Great concert because, Tyler Childers, but all the people will make you hot and sick.

  • Amazing!

by Lauren on 12/22/19The Fillmore Charlotte presented by Cricket Wireless - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler Childers gave an amazing performance. His songs were actually better live... and that’s hard to say! I can’t wait to go to another one of his concerts!

  • tyler

by Kyle on 12/22/19The Fillmore Charlotte presented by Cricket Wireless - CharlotteRating: 2 out of 5

the show itself was great. however the venue is the worst in charlotte. it took 45 minutes to get inside. seems like they’re really pushing the fast pass entry to get more money. layout of the fillmore is terrible and if they oversell tickets, finding somewhere to see the actual stage is almost impossible. so if it’s a show you have to see, go to the fillmore. if not, save yourself the hassle.

  • Tyler Childers

by Dan on 12/21/19The Ritz - RaleighRating: 2 out of 5

The sound was terrible at the Fillmore. Most people there were drunk and talked most of the time or would sing louder than Tyler. Annoying that I couldn’t transfer my Fast Lane Passes, so I had to eat those tickets. Otherwise Tyler looked great and what I could hear he sounded good.

  • Amazing performance.

by Graybear on 12/21/19The Ritz - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

He was clearly frustrated with the sound on stage. The venue has lousy acoustics. He will never be back there anyway now the he has exploded.

  • Better before he blew up

by Ben on 12/21/19The Ritz - RaleighRating: 3 out of 5

Venue was way too packed. We were asked to stand back on the wall upstairs to keep the isle clear. Meanwhile, this 6'8" tree stood in front of my wife. After I handled that issue we had a good time. Cover band is terrible and Tyler didnt play long enough. Cats Cradle was much better.

  • Tyler Childers is amazing

by Adam on 12/21/19The Ritz - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler Childers was amazing! It was a great show at a great venue. Shows at The Ritz are always a good time!

  • Tyler Childers Philadelphia

by DaveNY on 12/14/19The Fillmore Philadelphia presented by Cricket Wireless - PhiladelphiaRating: 4 out of 5

Performance was awesome. He and the band are dynamic and very talented. The venue had issues. Why did I pay $10 per ticket for a speed pass when the venue did not accept it.

  • Blown away every time

by Ashley Ouellette on 12/14/19The Fillmore Philadelphia presented by Cricket Wireless - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

This is my second time seeing Tyler Childers in Philadelphia and I would see him play every year if I could. I was blown away by how many people knew every word and sang along as well as his live singing is just as incredible as his recorded work.

  • The future of good country music

    by smc325 on 12/11/19REBEL - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler Childers songwriting stands out in the country world amidst solo cups, beer, and pickup trucks. His music is superior to the meaningless drivel of radio pop-country. His performance is energetic yet meaningful.
