About

Tyler Childers is carving his own path in country music. Following the success of his 2017 breakout album Purgatory, the Kentucky-born singer-songwriter has earned 11 career Grammy nominations across folk, Americana, and country categories. Childers' 2025 release, Snipe Hunter, marked his seventh studio album; across the record, he weaves Appalachian storytelling with elements of rock and gospel. Childers remains connected to his Appalachian roots through his Hickman Holler Appalachian Relief Fund, which he established in 2020 with his wife, singer-songwriter Senora May, to bring awareness and financial support to vulnerable communities.

We planned this night since tickets first went on sale. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at this New Year's Eve Run. We had an opportunity to speak briefly with Tyler and he was very friendly! All 3 acts played phenomenal and I couldn't have planned it better.

  • Great Show!

He puts on a great show! His music sounds just as good (if not better) played live as it does recorded. I really enjoyed Christ Knight’s performance too.

  • Tyler Childers is amazing

by Britt on 12/30/19Appalachian Wireless Arena (Formerly Eastern Kentucky Expo Ctr) - PikevilleRating: 4 out of 5

Tyler Childers himself wasn’t absolutely amazing. Him love sounds exactly the same as a song on the radio. He played all of the best songs and we didn’t want it to end! The only down side was the show started at 8pm but Tyler didn’t play until 10:30. So we was exhausted and anxious from the wait time. He was worth it.

  • Tyler Childers great! Opening acts 👎

by M. on 12/30/19Appalachian Wireless Arena (Formerly Eastern Kentucky Expo Ctr) - PikevilleRating: 4 out of 5

Tyler Childers was awesome!!! The opening acts were horrible! ‘Slut Pill’ was worse than bad. Good think Childers made up for them!

  • Great!

by C. B. on 12/30/19Appalachian Wireless Arena (Formerly Eastern Kentucky Expo Ctr) - PikevilleRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler was awesome! He sounds just as good in person as in concert!

  • One of the best concerts ever

by Jrh210 on 12/30/19Appalachian Wireless Arena (Formerly Eastern Kentucky Expo Ctr) - PikevilleRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler of course didn’t disappoint, the only bad thing about the venue was one bar for the whole place. The lines were crazy long.
