About

Tyler Childers is carving his own path in country music. Following the success of his 2017 breakout album Purgatory, the Kentucky-born singer-songwriter has earned 11 career Grammy nominations across folk, Americana, and country categories. Childers' 2025 release, Snipe Hunter, marked his seventh studio album; across the record, he weaves Appalachian storytelling with elements of rock and gospel. Childers remains connected to his Appalachian roots through his Hickman Holler Appalachian Relief Fund, which he established in 2020 with his wife, singer-songwriter Senora May, to bring awareness and financial support to vulnerable communities.

Due to the weather delay, the opener band was cancelled. Was terrible for the fans on the lawn. Eventually when Tyler came out- he sang 2 songs & announced something that no one could hear. I was in GA section front & center & I couldn’t understand it. His demeanor was off and when he announced that he was singing his last song - he sat down & sang and when it was over he pushed the microphone away - said a thank you & walked off the stage. Songs were great but you could see & feel that it may not have been great for him. Come on - a sea of people there & he could have been a little more grateful.

  • Tyler, we want more.

by Cotton Cutie on 4/23/23The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 3 out of 5

It was an awesome concert…for how long it lasted. It was a pretty bummer deal that he only played for a quarter of the time he was suppose to.

Great atmosphere. Great sound. I would definitely see him there again.

  • The best ever!

by Bailey on 4/17/23Rating: 5 out of 5

One of the best shows I’ve ever been to. We got there on time and were almost to the front row. Tyler and his band played from 9:15 to 11:30pm. Everybody was so extraordinarily talented. The last few songs he let his band go and played some acoustic songs. To get the most out of his shoes you have to see his face! The emotions are priceless

  • Excellent

by NoDog on 4/17/23Fillmore New Orleans - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

He is one of the best singer songwriters out today!! Not many out there! His words and sound paint such a wonderful picture whether it’s a dark, loving or happy song. He’s truly one of a kind.

  • Best show ever

by Melissa on 4/17/23Fillmore New Orleans - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

This was the best show I’ve experienced so far. Definitely one of my top life experiences to date!

  • Great show!

by 4sightdrum on 4/17/23Fillmore New Orleans - New OrleansRating: 3 out of 5

Tyler Childers was awesome as usual. The Fillmore is really nice, although the sound wasn’t great. But that’s usually the case with these newer venues. And of course the drinks were expensive, just like everything else right now.

  • Youll not regret one minute

by East KY whitetails on 2/4/23Rating: 5 out of 5

  • Performance of a life time

    by R. K. on 11/18/22Rating: 5 out of 5

My first time seeing Tyler was at red rocks in Denver CO. To say it was a once in a life time experience is an understatement. Tyler is a true Performer, he’s able to hold his audience at attention with nothing more than his voice and guitar. If you have the opportunity to see him without paying TM’s stupid $500+ for a ticket I highly recommend. Disappointed in some fan behavior, people forget that he was in active addiction during the beginning of his career, and now as a sober artist he has chosen to not perform songs that take him back to the days he sang of before. Keep this in mind when being disappointed he doesn’t play Charleston girl or feathered Indians, his new music is a reflection of the person he wants to be, his past music is who he was. Tyler will forever be one of my favorite artists and I’m very thankful to have to opportunity to see him several more times in the next year. I expect each show will surpass the last.

  • This band is killing it

by KB on 10/5/21Rating: 5 out of 5

I don’t even like country or folk music, but this band is incredible live. I’ve been to over a hundred concerts and seen the likes of Pink Floyd and Tom petty. I have to admit, this is one of the best bands to see live. They are one of those rare exceptions where someone sounds better live than they do on their albums. I highly recommend seeing them and can’t wait until they tour

  • My wife and I had an amazing time. One of the best concerts.

by Mullins on 4/26/20Appalachian Wireless Arena (Formerly Eastern Kentucky Expo Ctr) - PikevilleRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the memories I'll always cherish. I had a blast, my wife loved it. I will never forget that night. The smile on her face and just happiness. It was really great.

  • BEST EVER!!!

by Becky on 2/19/20Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent!!!! Tyler was GREAT, it was our first time at the Ryman Auditorium. If you have not seen Tyler in concert yet you should put it on your bucket list, also put seeing a concert at the Ryman Auditorium on the list. We were concerned about driving 6 hours to see the show but it was worth every minute we were on the road. Tyler put on a Great show and The Ryman Auditorium acoustics were outstanding.

  • Did not perform two top sings

by Diane on 2/18/20Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 3 out of 5

So disappointed Tyler did not sing Frost Off My Bones or Charleston Girl. So many were very disappointed. Obnoxious audience members banging on the pews of The Ryman. It go so bad, security had to handle it. Seating is very tight at The Ryman.

  • Tyler Childers

by Kentuckistan on 2/18/20Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Oh my goodness! What an evening! WOW 🤩 I've probably been to over 250 concerts, and this one was the 2nd best concert I've ever seen. Tyler Childers is known to have a sound that's best heard live. What better venue is there than the Ryman with its well known rich sound! 10 🌟's! My #1 concert? Of course it's Prince - Louisville Palace a year before he passed; it will probably NEVER be topped.

  • The best!

    by L. V. on 2/10/20Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

His concert was amazing! It was my second time seeing Tyler Childers. This venue plus his concert is unparalleled!

  • Another Great One

by AP on 2/10/20Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

If you've been before then you know, but there's a reason The Ryman gets voted best venue in the country. The sound is fantastic. Also the staff are super nice, bathrooms are clean, and grabbing a beer isnt a challenge. As for Tyler Childers himself, man is uber talented. His voice in that place was amazing. The band just rolled out song after song, no hiccups. Tyler seems like a very humble human being. He'll just let another talented singer/songwriter come up on his stage during his set and play a song or two. Super cool! I will say that was the first time ive walked in a venue dry as a bone, and come out with snow pounding my face. Good time had by all

  • Better than I expected!! And I knew it would be great!

by NashRed on 2/9/20Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing night! Super excited that Robert Earl Keen opened for him. Tyler was all about the music...chatted very little...just let the songs do the talking. Sound guys deserve a big pat on the back because the sound was amazing...one of the best sounding shows I have heard at the Ryman!! So good to hear some real country music and see such a huge enthusiastic crowd enjoying it. Anxiously awaiting his return with Sturgill!

  • unreal venue

  • Ky's Best

by Ky Rose on 1/4/20Appalachian Wireless Arena (Formerly Eastern Kentucky Expo Ctr) - PikevilleRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler Childers puts on the best show. His voice and skill at storytelling is unmatched. He gives a voice to the easily forgotten people of Eastern Ky.
