About

Tyler Childers is carving his own path in country music. Following the success of his 2017 breakout album Purgatory, the Kentucky-born singer-songwriter has earned 11 career Grammy nominations across folk, Americana, and country categories. Childers' 2025 release, Snipe Hunter, marked his seventh studio album; across the record, he weaves Appalachian storytelling with elements of rock and gospel. Childers remains connected to his Appalachian roots through his Hickman Holler Appalachian Relief Fund, which he established in 2020 with his wife, singer-songwriter Senora May, to bring awareness and financial support to vulnerable communities.

  • Childers killed it

by WV Fan on 8/14/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Really tremendous performance. Merriweather has great acoustics and it served the band well for this show. A lot of talent and Childers offered up a part of his soul in many ways.

  • Brought me to church

  • Fabulous!

by JbAm on 8/14/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Tyler Childers was excellent! Wonderful concert! The venue was also great! One of the best shows we’ve ever been to!

  • Really fun night

    by rcote75 on 8/10/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The venue was great as was the show. From Margo Price opening to an amazing Tyler Childres show to actual clean port-a-lets with handwashing stations, we were happy! Getting out was a bit of a mess and took forever but everyone leaves at the same time, right? Not sure how to make that better but it make the night an hour longer than it needed to be.

  • Almost awesome

by Mike on 8/10/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Tyler and the band were great. When he spoke the volume was too low to hear him well. I’ve also never been to another show where the crowd had so many loud conversations trying to talk over the artist, outside of a bar. We moved at least 5 times and every spot would start off ok and then some group would start yelling a conversation over the music.

  • One for the record books...

by LibbieT. on 8/9/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Amazing concert from Charlie Brown Superstar to Margo Price and her band...amazing... and then to hear Tyler Childers and The Food Stamps Live was truly astounding. I still haven't recovered!! Come back to Maine soon, we love you!

  • Tyler Childers was awesome

    by Blooeyes36 on 8/9/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Tyler Childers played for like 2 solid hours ,he was awesome ,I think they should build up the ground higher in back sloped to stage for better viewing . Oh and have some regular beer for regular folks :)

  • Tyler Childers live at Thompson’s Point, Portland, ME

by MMorrison on 8/9/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Tyler was amazing. His band and his vocals were spot on. They have every nuance of their set down to a science. The set list had just about every great song you would want to hear as a Tyler Childers fan. I was fortunate enough to be able to get through online and get tickets at face value for $60. It was awesome to not spend a lot of money and take my daughter go to a general admission show and be able to stand up close to see somebody we love. (That’s another conversation….that the secondary scalper companies should be illegal). I would love to see him again sometime!

  • AMAZING!

by Ss on 8/9/23Rating: 5 out of 5

First of all Tyler Childers doesn't need a review, if you know, you know, period. The venue is always amazing yet made even better when the weather hits just right. A magical night in Portland Maine one I'll never forget.

Went to his Second show in NYC Could tell he was tired.

  • Beautiful Venue

    by Angela K on 8/8/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Beautiful venue, had no issues entering or getting to our seats. I do wish they had adjusted the sound, it was hard to hear Tyler Childers when he was talking, and we were in Section 1. Can’t imagine anyone towards the back heard him talk at all. Great concert and beautiful venue.

  • Best Concert

by Dan on 8/8/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Had a blast at concert! Margo Price was great, and Tyler was one of the best live performances I’ve ever seen. Absolutely a must see concert, will see him again as soon as possible

  • Amazing show!

by Mel NYC on 8/7/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Tyler never disappoints! What an incredible show! Looking forward to many more shows!

  • Great show

by Kate on 8/7/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Radio City on 08/03/23 was great. I will say I was a bit disappointed that we had significantly less songs that some of the shows earlier in the tour.

  • No encore, but great performance.

by Steve on 8/7/23Rating: 4 out of 5

I went both nights and was surprised he missed some of his most popular songs. Also no encore the second night I was really surprised, the whole theater was standing and cheering for five minutes waiting for the encore. I got the feeling Tyler is getting a little full of himself and forgetting his fans!

  • Best show ever!!

by AnnMB on 8/6/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Tyler and his band were amazing! Great sound and effects. Every song was on point.
